Jesus said that He was the Son of God. Many people
believe that Jesus is indeed the Son of God because of the
amazing things He did.
You cannot make claims without supporting them with
actions. If you say you are a doctor you must be able to prove
it.
Any Doctor on Board?
Once, I was on a flight when an announcement was made
in request for anyone who was a doctor. There was a man who
had stopped breathing and they wanted a doctor to help. At
that moment, anyone who claimed to be a doctor would have to
know what to do. He would have to be able to resuscitate the
dead or dying man. He would have to know how to reactivate
the person’s heart and help him to breathe.
On another occasion, I was on a flight when a pregnant
woman went into labour. Again they called for a doctor. This
time, the doctor would have to know how to deliver a baby,
deliver the placenta, cut the cord and ensure that the baby
breathed normally and that both mother and baby were safe.

Indeed, this is why some doctors would not own up that they
are doctors when an announcement is made. All their medical
knowledge and skills would be tested if they did.
Jesus Christ claimed to be the Son of God. That was one of
the most daring statements for anybody to make. He would have
to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that He was the Son of God.
And He did! Many things that He did attested to this reality. At
the end of the day, many came to believe that the Son of God had
visited the earth.
He healed the sick, He spoke great words, He walked on
water, He fed thousands and He raised the dead. What more can
you expect of the Son of God? This is why many people believe
that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

1. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because of the great words that He spoke.
Jesus said many amazing things and claimed to be many
amazing things. For example He said that He was the Way, the
Truth and the Life. He claimed to be the only way to God the
Father.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

2. Many people believed that Jesus Christ was the Son
of God because of the miracles that He did.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the
feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the
miracles which he did.
John 2:23

3. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because He was instantly recognized by evil spirits
who had lived on the earth for years.
And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the
sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught
them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean
spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have
we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come
to destroy us? I KNOW THEE WHO THOU ART, THE
HOLY ONE OF GOD.
Mark 1:21-24

4. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because He walked on water.
And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into
a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he
sent the multitudes away.
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up
into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was
come, he was there alone.
But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with
waves: for the wind was contrary.
And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them,
WALKING ON THE SEA.
Matthew 14:22-25

5. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because He calmed storms with His words.
And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea,
insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but
he was asleep.
And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying,
Lord, save us: we perish.
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little
faith? Then he arose, and REBUKED THE WINDS AND
THE SEA; AND THERE WAS A GREAT CALM.
Matthew 8:24-26

6. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because He fed five thousand people in one day.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him,
saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past;
send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages,
and buy themselves victuals.
But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye
them to eat.
And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and
two fishes.
He said, Bring them hither to me.
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass,
and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up
to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his
disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of
the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
And THEY THAT HAD EATEN WERE ABOUT FIVE
THOUSAND MEN, beside women and children.
Matthew 14:15-21

7. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because He raised the dead.
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city
called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and
much people.

Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold,
there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his
mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city
was with her.
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her,
and said unto her, Weep not.
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him
stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
And HE THAT WAS DEAD SAT UP, AND BEGAN TO
SPEAK. And he delivered him to his mother.
Luke 7:11-15

8. Many people believed that Jesus was the Son of God
because He was crucified on a cross and rose from the
dead as He predicted.
And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is,
being interpreted, The place of a skull.
And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but
he received it not.
And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments,
casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
Mark 15:22-25
And as they thus spake, JESUS HIMSELF STOOD IN
THE MIDST OF THEM, AND SAITH UNTO THEM,
PEACE BE UNTO YOU.
BUT THEY WERE TERRIFIED AND AFFRIGHTED,
and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do
thoughts arise in your hearts?
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle
me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see
me have.
Luke 24:36-39

9. You must believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as
the Son of God and the Saviour of the world.
You must ask Him to wash you and cleanse you with His
blood that was shed for you on Calvary’s cross.
