PRIDE & THE END

READ: Ezekiel 28:11-19

The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. :- Proverbs 16:5

Lucifer was anointed. Lucifer knows more about the anointing than you probably do. Lucifer was the anointed cherub. He lived and worked on the holy mountain of God. Lucifer’s work included walking up and down before the presence of God in the midst of stones of fire.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:14
Lucifer’s ministry came to an unfortunate end. Lucifer was brought down from his high and lofty ministry. This unfortunate demise and demotion is what satan wishes for everyone he attacks. He wants everyone to fall and to be destroyed just as he was destroyed.

Lucifer fell before our world began. Lucifer means “the shining one.” He was the morning star, unique and radiant. Lucifer was the most gifted, most outstanding of all the angels. It is only after Lucifer fell that he was changed into what we now know as satan, the dragon. Satan simply means the “opposer”. Lucifer has changed from a bright, shining, attractive angel into an ugly opposer and adversary.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Ezekiel 28:15

The reign of Lucifer, as he was known, came to an end. What contributed to his destruction? Pride brought the life and ministry of Lucifer to an abrupt and tragic end.

Your ministry will come to an end because of your pride. Be careful.
