READ: Luke 7:36-50

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with ointment.” – Luke 7:38

This woman whose sins were many, accepted that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. She believed that Jesus Christ was the great prophet. She believed that He was holy. She believed that He could forgive sins. She accepted Him. That is why she could honour Him! “Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little” (Luke 7:47).

Mary and Martha accepted and admired Jesus Christ. “…and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word” (Luke 10:38-39).

Without accepting the man of God, you cannot do much. You cannot receive from him and you will never feel like honouring him. You have to accept the person whom God has sent. Do you accept the people that God has brought into your life? Do you accept that they are great and wonderful prophets and pastors to you? Admiration is the key to honouring with ease! Honour with acceptance and admiration.

Without admiration your mouth will not be open and your heart will not be turned towards your master. Mary saw Jesus as the greatest and the best. That is why she lay down at His feet and wept before Him. It was admiration that made her use her hair to wipe His feet. Her heart was completely open towards Jesus Christ.

Admiration is what causes honour to be easy for you to give.
