READ: 2 Timothy 4:1-8
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:8
Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords! When you become a shepherd, you will also become a shepherd and a king. You are privileged to join the royal family of Heaven!
By doing the work of a shepherd, you are most likely to inherit a crown of life, a crown of righteousness and a crown of glory. Remember that a crown is given to only those who are royalty. Apart from the King of England, and other royalty, few other people wear crowns on earth.
Three different crowns are promised. A crown of life, a crown of righteousness and a crown of glory! What will you be doing wearing a crown if you are not part of a royal family?
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, HE SHALL RECEIVE THE CROWN OF LIFE, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee A CROWN OF LIFE.
Revelation 2:10
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a CROWN OF GLORY that fadeth not away.
1 Peter 5:4
Imagine that! Three whole crowns waiting for you! You will soon be even more glorious than the King of England! And all this, just because you were a shepherd! As part of the royal family in Heaven, you will have many new privileges and blessings.
