OBEY THEM THAT HAVE THE RULE OVER YOU, AND SUBMIT YOURSELVES: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Hebrews 13:17
King PIRAM represents a demonic king who came against the people of God. Whatever fights the people of God is fighting God’s purpose. PIRAM means a wild ass, the demonic power of wild spirits and attacks.
A spirit of a wild ass is the spirit of being uncontrollable. An uncontrollable spirit makes you uncontrollable. Satan wants to turn you into a wild and uncontrollable person who is no longer under submission. The more you overcome the devil in your life, the more controllable you will be. Being controllable reveals that you have a balanced approach to the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15).
One of my disciples angrily made these statements.
He said, “It is following the Spirit that makes you a son of God.” Indeed, this is true because Romans 8:14 says, “… as many as are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
He also said, “Sometimes, to obey God, you must disobey man or a man of God.” This is also true because when Jesus was about His Father’s business, He was clearly not where His parents wanted Him to be. They were clearly upset with Him.
These statements have some truth in them. Such statements also have some scriptural support. Indeed, Peter said we must rather obey God than men (Acts 5:29).
But half-truths are dangerous things. Satan thrives on half-truths. The whole universe is in a fallen state because Adam and Eve believed the half-truths that satan told them. Scripture is clear about the need to obey people that have the rule over you. Scripture is also clear about the importance of submitting yourself: Hebrews 13:17.
Being controlled by men reveals you are under submission. Submission is a beautiful trait that reveals humility. Without humility you are not going anywhere!
