READ: Luke 12:42-48

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Revelation 2:10

Your reward for being faithful unto death will be a crown. A crown is the most precious thing you can ever receive in heaven. Indeed on this earth, few people will ever wear a crown. In England, the King is the only person who wears the crown.

If you wear a crown, you are highly exalted, privileged and honoured. God intends to grant you a very special and privileged place in heaven for being faithful. You will be distinguished from other people just because of your faithfulness. You will actually wear a crown in heaven. If wearing a crown is such a big deal on earth, can you imagine what it would be like to wear a crown in heaven?

Your faithfulness will be mentioned on the judgment day. Your faithfulness is being watched and marked every day. In a number of stories that Jesus told, faithfulness was a key condition for receiving rewards.

It means your ability to be faithful and loyal all the way to the end of the race is critical for your reward. Notice that good and faithful servants are acknowledged. Also notice that faithful and wise stewards are noticed. In both cases, faithfulness is spotted and rewarded. These qualities must be maintained until death.

His lord said unto him, Well done, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:23
