READ: Psalm 105
Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, “MY PURPOSE WILL BE ESTABLISHED, AND I WILL ACCOMPLISH ALL MY GOOD PLEASURE”; calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of My purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it.
Isaiah 46:9-11 (NASB)
In Psalm 105 you see how Israel was led by God through the wilderness. They had many miracles. They had many trials. Through it all, God was keeping His covenant with Israel. God was ensuring that His chosen people whom He had predestined would end up in the promised land and give birth to the Messiah.
Then he brought them out with silver and gold, and among his tribes there was not one who stumbled.
Egypt was glad when they departed, for the dread of them had fallen upon them.
He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to illumine by night.
They asked, and he brought quail, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
He opened the rock and water flowed out; it ran in the dry places like a river.
For he remembered his holy word with Abraham his servant;
And he brought forth his people with joy, his chosen ones with a joyful shout.
He gave them also the lands of the nations, that they might take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,
So that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws, Praise the Lord!
Psalm 105:37-45 (NASB)
The story of Israel’s miraculous escape from Egypt and journey through the wilderness after crossing the Rea Sea is not a fairy tale. It is an example of the supernatural power of predestination at work.
God has no tension at all when He watches our lives. God is never anxious! God is never concerned about how things are going to turn out. He sees the end from the beginning! It is important that you start to see things from God’s perspective. God knows the end and how things will work out! Have faith in God! He is working things out in your favour!
