Colossians 1:28-29
I remember a vision I had. In this vision, two men came to visit me in my house. The men, who were brothers, had died years ago and had been brought back to life and given a chance to revisit the earth.
In the vision, I found myself sitting at table with the two dead pastors who had come back to life for a short period. During this short visit, they went round some churches they had established in their lifetime and tried to minister in them.
I asked them how they had found the churches they had visited. They said they were unhappy because their messages were not received in the churches anymore. When they had been on earth they had also composed many songs. They realized on this visit that no one wanted to sing their songs anymore.
The brothers told me three important things that I never forgot.
1. They did not expect to die when they did because they were very fruitful in ministry and presumed that was a good reason for them to live much longer.
2. Yet another thing that surprised them was the fact that they had no impact at all on the people during their visit to earth. The people did not even notice them.
3. They also told me, “You have the best chance now. This is your time to be fruitful. Our time is past. Our chance is gone. This is your best chance; now!”
The vision ended and I realized that God had spoken to me. It was clear that I could depart from this earth at any time despite the good works I was doing. God had told me that this was my chance to do His will and to finish His work.
