PROSPER AND BUILD!

READ: Matthew 6:25-34

He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the lord thy God, as he hath said of thee.
1 Chronicles 22:10-11

Prosper thou and build the house of God! What a command! What a declaration! What an instruction! As you can see from the scripture above, David told Solomon his son to prosper and build the house of God. The only reason for prosperity is in building the house of God. All the houses we build for ourselves are temporary sand castles. God is raising you up and blessing you so that you build His house. That is the reason for prosperity. That is the reason for your high salary. That is the reason for your amazing job. It is to prosper you so that you build the house of God.
Now set your heart and your soul to SEEK THE LORD YOUR GOD; ARISE THEREFORE, AND BUILD YE THE SANCTUARY of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
1 Chronicles 22:19

In this amazing scripture, all the princes of David are told to set their hearts to seek the Lord and therefore to arise and build the house of God. As you can see from this amazing scripture, seeking the Lord, arising and building the sanctuary, are one and the same thing.
Let’s always remember the amazing scripture, which is a promise to all that as you seek the kingdom of God, all things will be added to you. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). We see a further revelation on what it means to seek the Lord in the book of Chronicles.
