BUILD ON A ROCK!
READ: Luke 6:46-49
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon…

When I started building my house, I found out that the cost of building materials was much lower when you went to buy them yourself. I found out that the cost of everything would jump sky high when I sent certain people to do the purchasing.
Some people’s wisdom is to acquire loans, believing that the only way to build something is to get a loan to build it. However, many great developments were not built with loans. Many people rolled up their sleeves and built their roads, canals, railways and cities with hard practical labour. The easiest thing to do is to get a loan and sign off a huge contract. Unfortunately, these huge loans are not so readily available today. That is why poor countries remain poor. Poor countries often have bad leaders who lack the practical wisdom of building the hard way.
When you receive the wisdom of God, you are able to do what is right. The right thing to do is to build a house on a rock. Wisdom is the application of God’s word for you to become a doer of hard and difficult things. Wisdom is the application of God’s word for you to become a builder. Wisdom does not make you a beggar. Wisdom makes you prosper! Wisdom makes you a builder! Wisdom makes you a developer! Wisdom will cause you to build a house on a rock. It is much easier to build on the sand. It will take much longer to build on a rock.
It is time to roll up your sleeves and become a builder. I did not say it is time to roll up your sleeves and get a loan. Become a builder of great things. A wise man builds! A wise man builds on a rock!
