READ: Ecclesiastes 12:1-5
Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
Ecclesiastes 12:5
You must be ready to flee youthful lusts! When you are a young man, you will have to contend with youthful lusts. These lusts are specialized desires that target the young. What are “youthful lusts”? “Youthful lusts” are desires, cravings and longings for things that are forbidden.
Youthful lusts are lusts, longings, desires and cravings that are particularly common in young people. You will notice that desires actually reduce, and even fail to exist, as you get older. In the book of Ecclesiastes, we have an accurate description of old age. Ecclesiastes predicts that, among other things, “desire shall fail” in old age.

It is important to believe and understand that desires, longings, cravings and lusts are peculiar to the youth. Every young person desiring to be a minister must fight to overcome these lusts, desires and cravings.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Genesis 3:16
Youthful lusts are sexual desires that you must respect. Desires are powerful things that must be respected because of what they can do. Your sexuality is something you must respect. Any young person who comes into the service of God must have a proper respect for his or her sexuality and desire for the opposite sex.
