READ: 1 Peter 5:8-10
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Satan committed the first sin in the universe: pride. Satan is the father of lies. Satan is a murderer. As soon as you get into sins such as murder and deception, you are getting nearer the devil. There are those who fall into sin but do not tell lies about it. Such people are better off than those who tell lies.
Fornication is a sin of human, fleshly weakness but lying and deception are demonic in origin. You may fall into a sin of human weakness but enter satanic sins when you start telling lies and involving yourself in deception.
1. Lying like the devil: When you become a liar like the devil, you deceive a lot of people the way satan deceived a lot of people. Hypocrisy takes you deep into that realm where you deceive a lot of people about who you really are.
2. Murdering like the devil: Ruthlessly killing and murdering people is another satanic evil. Murderers must expect God to deal with them like the devil.
3. Accusing people like the devil: Blasphemy and speaking injurious words to accuse God’s servants and his prophets, day and night, is a terrible sin and will incur the same judgment that satan has received (Revelation 12:10).
4. Tempting people like the devil: Satan is a tempter. He pushes people to the place where they fall deep into a hole where they cannot escape from. When you abuse your authority, you assume demon-like characteristics as a tempter of human beings. God will judge you in the same way that He judged the devil. (Matthew 4:1).
5. Opposing like the devil: Satan means opposer (1Peter 5:8). Do not allow yourself to become an opposer, always be part of the opposition. God wants you to be positive and a can-do person.
