“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:32
After the Lord has set you free from the power of demons, you need practical adjustments, other wise the demons will return: Matthew 12:45. Notice from this
Scripture that the house was empty, swept and clean. A house, which is not filled with the Word of God, will be filled with demons.
I have watched many go for several deliverance sessions and yet never seem to be free. This is because we are ignoring a most basic
truth the Lord gives us in John 8:32.
It is the knowledge of the truth that actually sets us free. Many pastors are attempting to use the laying on of hands to accomplish what only the truth can do. None of us is wiser than God. We may anoint with oil a thousand times but that cannot be substituted for the knowledge of truth.
Demons cannot have access to Christians unless we give them a foothold: “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). Often the foothold of the devil is not removed and so the demons keep returning. What is in your life that allows the devil access – bad company, alcohol, etc.? Without practical adjustment, your deliverance from demons will never be complete.
Jesus told the madman of Gadara to go tell what the Lord had done for him. Perhaps, the continued deliverance of this man lay in his obedience to this command. What has the Lord asked you to do? Obeying this command will keep you free from demons.
