Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. :- Matthew 5:13
There are many things that need to be in sufficient quantities if they are to be useful. Salt is one of them. There may be salt in food but if the salt is not enough, it is as though there is no salt in the food. You may work hard but if you do not work hard enough, your work may prove futile.
There needs to be enough waiting on God. Waiting on God involves spending quality time with God. The Levites were expected to spend seven days with God. There are many ministers who do not make enough time to wait on God. Can you spend three days with God alone? Can you spend a whole day with God?
There should be enough prayer. Saying three-minute prayers is not enough. Jesus prayed for three hours! Jesus prayed all night! Jesus waited on God for forty days and forty nights! Three-minute prayers cannot make an impact on your life and ministry. A pastor said to me, “I am not able to pray for more than twenty minutes.” He continued, “I always marvel when you say that you pray for an hour.”
There should be enough money. There must be enough money to do the work of God. If you do not have enough money, you cannot accomplish much! You may have some money but not enough to do the work of God. You will need to learn how to raise enough money to do the work of God!
There should be enough books. The reason why the Bible has such a great impact in the world is because it is the most published and printed book in the world. The more a book is published and the more it is printed, the more it is read!
