But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17
Being fair and impartial will cause many people to appreciate your leadership. They will respect your judgment and will acknowledge that you are just and true. People resent being treated unfairly. Many people will desert you because you do not treat them objectively and reasonably.
Your promotion will not come on because you have not been fair and unbiased. People who are tribalistic, race-conscious and colour-conscious do not get promoted. They end up being leaders of little groups that have no connection with the larger community. Pastors of churches of one ethnic group or one colour are usually pastors of small churches. They never dominate cities or nations. Learn to be fair and impartial in your dealings with people.
Be without pretence!
Be without insincerity and two-facedness!
Two-faced people are discovered after a while.
Two-faced people are hated for their deception. They are hated for their pretence.
A hypocrite is a traitor! A hypocrite can become a Judas! Traitors are not loved! Traitors are eventually rejected by both sides. Get out of pretence, deception and hypocrisy! It is not a wise state to be in. Through your openness and sincerity, you will be liked by many people and it will lead to your promotion.
Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Proverbs 27:5
Open rebuke is better than secret love. An open rebuke demonstrates more love to a friend than a secret love which withholds rebuke when it should be given.
