READ: 1 Kings 3:3-15

Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
1 Kings 3:12

The wisdom of Solomon made him the richest man in the world.

The wisdom of Solomon made him expand the kingdom of Israel in great stability and wealth.

The wisdom of God caused Solomon to write three of the books of the Old Testament: Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and the Songs of Solomon.

The wisdom of God caused Solomon to build the temple, build his house and build the kingdom of Israel. Through the wisdom of God, he reigned extensively in stability and prosperity. Solomon did not reign so extensively because he was tall and handsome. Certainly not! Solomon was not a successful ruler because he was from a particular tribe. Solomon was successful because of the wisdom God gave him.

Solomon did not stand for elections. He did not need to be popular to rule Israel. He was a wise man and his wisdom created wealth and riches. It was the wisdom of Solomon that created Solomon’s temple. It was not Solomon’s friendliness that enabled him to build the temple of God. It was not the fact that Solomon was open, approachable or handsome that enabled him to do his great works.

To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and MY LORD IS WISE, ACCORDING TO THE WISDOM OF AN ANGEL OF GOD, to know all things that are in the earth.
2 Samuel 14:20
