If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Psalm 11:3
Without foundations, the righteous cannot do much. Every man of God needs to have a solid foundation. When you have a solid foundation, you can build a solid structure. God wants you to prepare by laying a solid foundation. The foundations of God are sure foundations.
There are foundations that you must lay if you are to prepare properly for the work of God. These foundations will ensure that you are established in ministry. These foundations will ensure that you do not break down in the middle of your calling.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the FOUNDATION OF REPENTANCE from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.
Hebrews 6:1-3
To begin with, prepare for the ministry by laying a foundation of repentance. Repentance is turning away from sin. When you turn away from your past life, you lay a foundation for a great ministry. Everyone has made mistakes! Everyone has sin and evil in his life! Without turning away completely, you will never become what God wants you to become. Repentance is the ability to turn around. Repentance is the ability to move away from the evil that you were once involved with.
