READ: Joshua 10:1-10
Wherefore Adonizedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto JAPHIA king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying, Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.

Enlargement is only possible when you fight and conquer all the demonic powers that confront you at the beginning of your ministry. One of the demonic powers you need to fight in order to enlarge your ministry is the demonic power of King JAPHIA. He represents a demonic king who came against the people of God, fighting God’s purpose. JAPHIA means “shining”.
You must overcome all shining and attractive things in this world. As long as you are consumed by the demonic and deceptive shine of King JAPHIA, you cannot do much for God.
One missionary said, “Shame on London.” He had been attracted to the city of London so much that he had not been of much use to God. Our world is filled with shiny and attractive deceptions. Many things are made to shine and look far more glamorous than they really are.
Once you are attracted to the glamour and the glitter in this world you will not be of much use to God. The god of this world has ensured that everything in this world is based on shiny deceptions.
If you do not overcome the deception of riches, you will follow it and it will lead you to nothingness. This is why Jesus said, “Do not lay up treasures on earth. Lay up treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:19-20). Do not be attracted to the riches and wealth of this world.
For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
Revelation 18:17
People who follow the demonic power of Japhia will amount to nothing in God. The demonic shining rewards of silver and gold neutralize the call of God.
