MANY VOICES
READ: Proverbs 15:31-33
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. :- 1 Corinthians 14:10
There are many voices in the world. Each voice you hear has an effect on you. You must actually block certain voices and not even hear what they have to offer. Jesus said, “Take heed how you hear…” (Luke 8:18). Satan’s voice is silenced in the assembly of God’s children.
Years ago, a young lady was going through a tough time in her marriage. She had been my special daughter for many years and had been a part of the church for many years. When I called her to try to intervene in the marriage, she refused to talk to me at all. She completely wiped out my voice from her life and her marriage ended. Years later, I mused over her stance and concluded that the devil wanted to be the only voice that spoke to that lady.
In the assembly, you will have the voice of God booming out to you. Satan obviously wants people to stay away from the assembly so that his voice is the loudest and only voice listened to. The most dangerous work of the devil for us today is deception. Satan is into tricks and deceptions (Ephesians 6:11). You must be ready to overcome works of darkness against you in the form of tricks and deceptions.
Recently, I was speaking to an older man of God. He told me of a crisis he went through in his life and ministry. I was amazed because I was experiencing the exact same crisis. It’s always a blessing to know that others have been through similar things. It strengthens your resolve to fight on and defeat the enemy. Without the assembly, you will never know what others have been through. You will never know what God can do, or what God is going to do.
