DLC India Report: May 2011
The Dag Heward-Mills Literature Crusade (DLC) commenced this year, 2011 in India when our Father Bishop Dag Heward-Mills sent a DLC Itinerant minister to India.
Work began in Pune on May 20th 2011, when the president of the local council of churches was visited, Pastor Joseph Pawar. He was glad to hear and learn about the Ministry of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. An invitation to minister at the pastors’ fellowship meeting was extended on the 7th of July 2011 there were over 65 pastors from the city in attendance. The books were introduced and the message of Loyalty was strongly delivered, several pastors rushed out to get copies of the loyalty book and the pastoral pack before the meeting was over. Doors were opened to teach on this all important subject, Loyalty and Disloyalty in several churches, and arrangement is being made for a major city wide DLC pastors’ conference in Pune by the end of the year. Pastor Pawar, who was so thankful to the Bishop for writing the books and sending them to India commented, “The message of Loyalty is timely for the church today and it’s a must hear for every minister of the gospel”.
A visit was made to the Tamil Nadu state, Chennai which is about 1166 Km from Pune, where Bishop has been invited by the Rev. Dr. D. Mohan of the New Life Assembly of God Church, the largest church in India for a Missions Convention from the 1st – 4th of September 2011.
Work began on the 5th of July and a schedule was drawn to reach out to over 450 pastors in the city of Chennai. Several pastors have been reached through e mails, phone calls and one-on-one visitation to pastors to introduce the books. There has been amazing results and Pastors are looking forward in anticipation to the Bishop’s visit to Chennai, with others coming all over from Pune to sit under his ministry and be imparted. |
