Dag Heward-Mills was born to N.A. Heward-Mills and Elizabeth Heward-Mills on the 14th of May 1963 in London. Soon after his birth, his parents relocated to Ghana.

He met Adelaide, then a student of Law while attending the University of Ghana Medical School. They dated for a number of years and got married in 1990. The marriage of Dag and Adelaide Heward-Mills has spanned more than 20 years. They have been blessed with four children; David (19), Joshua (18), Daniella (14) and Paula (8).

Lady Reverend Adelaide Heward-Mills, his beautiful and accomplished wife, stands with Bishop Dag in his global vision for ministry.
