Healing Jesus Campaign: Conakry, GuineaWednesday 14th March - Sunday 18th March 2012Day 1: Arrival and Evangelist's Remarks: By the grace of God, I have arrived safely in Guinea from Ukraine, where I was ministering as a guest preacher in the Church of the Risen Christ, Vinnitsa. Well, tonight is the first night of our Healing Jesus Campaign in Conakry, Guinea. This is the last campaign in the first season of Healing Jesus Campaigns this year. God has blessed the team and I with favour and has opened great doors for us here.
By the grace of God, we have been able to enter three different countries in West Africa (Mali, Sierra Leone and Guinea) this year, to preach Christ to thousands. I feel so blessed and humbled by the honour that God has bestowed on us by giving us the opportunity of preaching of the Gospel. People really need the Lord and I pray that by the end of this Healing Jesus Campaign in Conakry, many will come to know Jesus as the their Lord and personal Saviour. Once again I want to render my heartfelt gratitude to all the Healing Jesus Campaign partners all over the world. I encourage you all to stay updated with the campaigns through the website www.daghewardmills.org and through my Facebook page. Be blessed! Day 1: Evening campaign: By the special grace of God, the last campaign for the first season of the Healing Jesus Campaign in 2012 began on a high note in Conakry. The crowds started gathering as early as 16.30GMT at the Palais du Peuple, with people scrambling to find good seats and good views of the stage and the Evangelist. By the time praise and worship was over, the entire atmosphere was charged with great faith and expectation. In attendance was the First Lady of the Republic of Guinea, Ghana's Ambassador to Guinea, the Bishop of all Anglican churches in Guinea and Guinea Bissau and many other state dignitaries.
Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills was honoured by the state and was accorded the protocol reserved only for visiting heads of state. When he arrived at the crusade grounds, he was greeted with loud cheers, welcomed by the pastors of the city and escorted to exchange greetings with the First Lady before mounting the stage to take his seat. The welcome address was given by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bishop Albert David Gomez. He gave a beautiful speech in French, welcoming the Evangelist and Healing Jesus Campaign team to Guinea.
When it was time to preach, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills thanked all present, brought greetings from Ghana and announced that he would be preaching about The Kingdom of God. He said he had come to Conakry to ask them to choose this spiritual kingdom by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour. Many thousands responded to the altar call and each one received a free copy of Gospel Salvation book authored by the Evangelist.
After the altar call, the Evangelist prayed for the sick and before he could call out for the those who had been healed, loud shouts were heard from the back of the stage as cripples left their crutches and walking aids and started walking. The crowd simply could not control their excitement.
A man who had been paralyzed for 3 years, received his healing and could not wait to testify.
Another man who was paralysed last year in an accident, walked all by himself to the stage to testify of how God had touched him in the crowd!
A woman who was once blind, was accompanied onto the stage to testify and demonstrate to all that she could now see. The woman who came along with her, was weeping and could not control her joy.
Another man who had been paralysed for 25 years began walking!
A lady who for 3 years had been walking with a stick ran with excitement across the stage. The Lord had touched and healed her!
A young boy who for nine months had not been able to walk, felt the power of God come over him and suddenly, he began to walk!
These and many many miracles did the Lord do last night.
God is doing wonders in Conakry! Jesus is indeed visiting Conakry in a supernatural way!
Day 2:
Morning Pastors' Conference:
In the Conakry Pastors' conference, the anointed Evangelist taught from some of his books. He started with His book 'Many Are Called'. He spoke about the fact that many have been called by God according to Matthew 22:14. He said, "Sadly, most pastors treat their congregations as people who do not have a call. They relate to them as people who cannot do much for God. Most pastors teach their congregations how to have “a better life”. Much of the preaching is about ourselves, our lives, our marriages, our homes, our finances, etc. This is good, but this kind of preaching is what creates the large, selfish and barren congregations of today. Our calling is to fruitfulness". He declared that God was going to make many of His children fruitful in Guinea, especially women.
The great Evangelist in his usual simple and enjoyable style, also taught from his books "How to be in the perfect will of God" and "The Art of Leadership". To their utter surprise, free books authored by the evangelist were distributed to all participating pastors.
After the conference, Evangelist Dag paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Ambassador to Guinea and the head of the Ministry of Spiritual Affairs. The campaign continues and there is a great expectation of a bountiful harvest of souls and special miracles.
Day 2:
Evening Campaign:
A colorful cultural display by the Pan African Women's society of Guinea set the stage for what was to be another night of salvation, miracles, signs and wonders! On this second night, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills preached on the topic 'Receive Christ' from John 1:12. So interesting was the preaching that all ears were tuned in to hearing what the Lord had to say through the anointed Evangelist.
In a powerful exposition of the scriptures, he illustrated the omnipotence of God and how God had chosen His Son Jesus to be the only way to eternal life. He said, "In the beginning was God. Everything was made by Him - the trees, human beings, the nations e.g. Guinea, the fishes etc. Nothing was made without Him. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Jesus Christ is the light that shines in the darkness of this world. When you have Jesus you have light and life, therefore receive Christ". Just like John the Baptist, Evangelist Dag said that he had also come to bear witness of the light, which is Jesus Christ. Jesus wants to shine in our lives to eliminate every darkness and all demons! He continued, "Rats are afraid of light. They enjoy our rooms when there is darkness, just like the demons in our lives, but when the Light of Jesus comes on in our lives and in our nations, the evil spirits, demons, witches and satan will run away! This can only take place when we accept Jesus as our saviour. The Evangelist then made an altar call for anyone who wanted to receive Christ and several thousands of people responded to that call.
With this background Evangelist Dag plunged into the prayer time for healing and miracles. Immediately after the prayer, many people started pushing forward with testimonies of divine healing. Miracles started "popping up" everywhere, especially healing that had occured in previously paralyzed and crippled people. The miracles were "more than could be carried", an answer to the prayer prayed at the begining of the service.
Some of the miracles included:
A woman who had a big swelling around her throat (also known as a goiter) for 3 years. She was touched by God's power and the goiter just disappeared! One would normally need surgery for this but God touched her and healed her.
A Woman with elephantiasis was carried into the crusade but got up and walked!
Someone with 10 years of knee pain was healed!
A man with "stroke" for 10 years and who could not walk, received healing and walked!
A young woman who had been blind for the past 5 years received her sight!
A man who had been walking with the aid of a stick for the past 2 years received healing and no more needed the stick.
A Young girl who was carried to the crusade grounds in a taxi because she couldn't walk begun to walk as the Power of God touched her!
A Woman who has not been able to walk for one year now received her healing.
A woman who had suffered two and a half years of paralysis after an accident, was able to walk and actually took some time to dance with the evangelist!
A young girl, dumb since birth began to speak.
A woman who had suffered from a "stroke" for 4 years was instantly healed!
And so many more miracles. They were more than we could carry!
Day 3:
Morning Conference:
This morning, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills rightly divided the word of truth as he taught on the subject Loyalty and Disloyalty. This is a subject for which he’s known and invited worldwide. Today he emphasized on the need for pastors to be loyal, constant, faithful and to remain the same in commitment to God and to the Church, even after many years. He stressed that ministers needed to remain faithful to God with respect to the main message that God had entrusted to them for the church. He spoke about what Rick Joyner, a great prophet of God, had described in his book 'The Final Quest'. In the vision, he had seen Apostle Paul lament that he cannot recognize the ministry and the messages being preached in our churches today. The renowned Evangelist cautioned pastors to stay with their first love towards God, to avoid a removal of their "candlesticks". (Revelation 2:4 and 5).
At the end of the session, there was a special discounted sale of books, which was received with loud cheers from the delegates.
Day 3: Evening Campaign: The campaign entered Day 3 with every expectation that a third day comes with. Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, reading from John 15:13, did another wonderful delivery on the message "Greater Love", with illustrations and examples so simple that even children could understand. No wonder the little ones are not left out of the miracles.
Describing the various types of love that exist, he declared, “The love of Jesus surpasses all. It is called Greater Love. This is what God has done for Guinea. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). But why does God love us so much? The reason is simple. Because we are His children and He created us. The devil on the other hand hates us and wants us all to die in hell. But God said I love them. I love the people of Guinea and I will send my Son, not an angel, to save them! What manner of love is this? If you have a child and he is going down wouldn't you try and save him or her? I can understand why God would love the world so much and send His son. He wants to prevent us from the horrors of hell. Hell is Not for His children. There is no greater love than this”. He then made an altar call for all who wanted to receive the great love of God and the entire congregation stood up. The prayer for salvation was prayed with much purpose and understanding, probably because the message was so clear for all to understand. It was really the third day because miracles started taking place right when the congregation was praying the sinner's prayer! Evangelist Dag proceeded to minister to the needs of the multitude of people gathered. The miracles were so outstanding that the evangelist kept saying, “Fantastic! Fantastic!” Miracles: A woman who had been bedridden for one year because of an accident, suddenly felt she should rise and walk and she did! She could not help shedding tears of joy. A young lady who had lost her vision and speech due to a brain tumour, for the first time in 4 years, begun to see and speak! This is fantastic! Another woman who had been paralyzed for 6 years said in her testimony that as soon as the evangelist said, “rise up and walk”, she dropped her crutches and walked!
One very moving testimony which brought tears to the eyes of almost everyone present, was that of a medical doctor who had been totally blind and disabled, due to a “stroke”. In the service today, suddenly his eyes opened, he could see…. And he also started walking! The evangelist said, “When a doctor testifies its always different!” A woman who for 6 years now has been bent over, testifies of how she straightened up and walked freely. Previously, she had to touch the wall and hold on to it, anytime she wanted to walk. But tonight, she is upright and has no need to hold any wall. Halleluyah!
Day 4:
Morning Conference: The last day of the pastors' conference was as exciting as the other two days. The evangelist encouraged pastors to have a burning desire for church growth which is the heartbeat of God. He said, “Many pastors rather have a burning vision to be rich or travel abroad. Some desire to own cars. But the bible does not say you shall know them by their cars but by their fruits”. He encouraged Pastors to pursue the Anointing which is essential for church growth. Quoting from Zechariah 4:6, the healing evangelist stressed that ministry work is not by might or by power. He reiterated, “It is not by experience, colour, country, money or any other thing except the Holy Spirit. If Jesus was anointed then every pastor must desire to be anointed as well. It is only the power of God that can heal sicknesses and change what the devil is doing here in Guinea”. Evangelist Dag ended the conference with a powerful prayer for all the pastors of Guinea and gave out free books and copies of his messages on DVD.
Day 4:
Evening Crusade:
Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills without mincing words went straight into his mission for the evening. Preaching from John 5:22-30 on the message "Jesus Christ the Judge". He indicated that Jesus is many things to us and One of them is that, He is a judge. He said, "a person can be many things and using myself as an example I am a pastor, a husband, an evangelist, a medical doctor and depending on the need, I can rise to the occasion. Jesus is the same. He is a Saviour, a Lover, the Son of God, and He is also a Judge! Many cannot believe that this same Jesus will judge us one day. But just like a coin, He is love on one side and on the other side a judge! Today He is showing us love but tomorrow He will be your judge!" He said that those who mocked Him whilst on the cross will be judged by Him. Everyone will one day also appear before the judgement seat of Christ, both great and small. He passionately urged all present to align themselves to take on the offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. He made an altar call for anyone who wanted to choose and accept Jesus into their lives to come forward and thousands, including moslems, responded.
Many miracles accompanied the preaching as God confirmed His word through His servant with signs and wonders. Notable among them were:
A woman who had amenorrhea i.e. her menstrual flow had ceased for two years, suddenly started bleeding right there in the service. She has been believing God for a child for 20 years now and believes this is a visitation of the Lord!
Also, a young man who had been paralysed from the waist down for 3 yrs, due to sickle cell disease, received strength and started walking! What a mighty God we serve!
Day 5: Evening Campaign: What a campaign it has been! This is the best way the Healing Jesus experience in Guinea can be described and it will go down in history, as one of the best campaigns ever. This has been the last campaign for this first season in 2012 and God indeed visited the city of Conakry, and of course the nation of Guinea! The involvement of the government and people of Guinea has been phenomenal! The healing evangelist Dag Heward-Mills on this last night, was dressed in one of the traditional attires of the Guinean people which had been presented to him earlier on in the day. In an electrifying campaign atmosphere, He thanked all the pastors for their great input and delved into the message he had for the heaving crowd, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever” from Hebrews 13:8. As he delivered this message, there were chants of “Jesu! Jesu! Jesu!” from the crowd. He stirred up their faith through the preaching of the word of God and as the evening went on, miracles started taking place in the crowd! There were more chants of Jesu! Jesu! Jesu! as cripples rose up and started walking! The healing evangelist announced to the people that even after the crusade, Jesus would still be healing people to prove that He is alive. More miracles took place and there were more chants of the Name of Jesus. At a point, there was a wave of miracles, with miracles popping up in almost every section of the crowd like a “Mexican wave”. It became difficult for evangelist Dag to preach as there were so many shouts from the crowd anytime a phenomenal miracle happened. Miracles: A young lady who was unable to walk after an accident 2 years ago, was touched by the power of God and started walking. Hers was one of the miracles that resulted in the shouting from the crowd. A young lady who could not walk after she had surgery 2 years ago was touched by the power of God and she started walking! To God be all the glory!
