Dag Heward-Mills

Koforidua, Ghana February 2010

Dear Partners,

This was the first crusade held by Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills and his Healing Jesus Crusade team from the 14th of February to the 18th of February 2010. So many events preceding this particular crusade went to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Satan was desperate to destroy this crusade and frustrate the Evangelist and his team of crusade workers.

On the eve of the crusade, around 1:00 am, a terrible and devastating rain storm began. There was a gust of wind blowing at about 120kmph and one could hardly stand. Some members of the crusade preparation team who had wished to salvage some of the equipment which had all been set up in preparation for the crusade realized it would be a futile attempt since they could not withstand the force of the wind and the storm. Among the various equipment that were utterly destroyed were a tent which collapsed, almost 200 flood lights at the crusade grounds which were lighting the crusade grounds got broken, several thousand chairs were destroyed and the rest turned upside down and blown away by the wind and were strewn all over the crusade grounds, light scaffolds bent over  and four bill boards were torn down. But God was not about to give up on Koforidua yet.

I have arrived in Orlando, Florida for a camp with a selection of the North American shepherds and members of the Lighthouse Chapel International and I believe it is going to be a powerful time in the presence of the Lord.

Over the past few days though, I have been ministering in Pastor Larry Stockstills’ church (Bethany World Prayer Center) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was there with my wife Adelaide, to honor an invitation to preach at their third annual “Remnant Conference”. The conference had several hundreds of pastors and leaders from all over the United States in attendance and it was a refreshing experience.

As I go further away from home and familiar territory, one of the remarkable things I notice is the genuine warmth and appreciation of my books and ministry. This conference was no exception.

On Tuesday morning, during the session I was scheduled to preach, I shared about “The Stages of Disloyalty”. All the books were completely sold out by the end of the session and more books had to be brought in from another state overnight.   I’m told many of the attendees seemed already familiar with my books and ministry. Others were also keenly interested in finding out more about my ministry and websites.

You know, I remember how my books were rejected when I first sent my earlier books to bookshops in England and America. A couple of years down the road, it is amazing to see and hear of people with great testimonies of how their lives had been touched in one way or the other by these very books. God is gracious and His will is a mystery.

2010, is to be the “Year of Quiet Times” and carrying big Bibles. I believe that this is the year of getting to know the Lord personally and the only way to do that is to have a regular, daily quiet time with Him.
