Spreading the Gospel Back-to-Back
The campaign team had to pack up equipment from Gabu and travel quickly to setup in time for the campaign. The team had less than 24 hours to do this. Pastors and churches in town were overly excited and amazed that a gospel campaign of this scale was coming to their town. The churches held “Jesus Marches” through the principal streets of Bafata to raise awareness for the campaign. It was amazing to see many feeling the Rocha Stadium which is in the center of town. Hundreds of young people even sat on the stadium walls trying to catch a good glimpse of the long-awaited evangelist.
Sowing Seeds of Salvation
In Bafata, it became more and more clear that outdoor evangelistic events were very foreign to the people in towns we visited. The Healing Jesus Campaigns were to be the first of such events ever to be witnessed. We count it an honor to have been used by God to sew the seed and lay a foundation of salvation.
Harvest of Souls
It was a great priviliege to witness thousands surrender their lives to Jesus Christ at the campaigns each night. They heard the clear and unmistakable gospel message evangelist Dag Heward-Mills preached and received it with such joy and eagerness.
God Confirmed His Word!
The fantastic miracles that take place at each campaign never cease to amaze us. God faithfully confirmed the gospel message through fantastic miracles. Among the many miracles in Bafata, one of the most touching was the healing of an old woman who had been blind for several years. The power of God touched her and her eyes were opened. She walked all the way to the stage unaided. One could not miss her broad smile and wide open eyes filled with great joy.
