Great Expectations In Gambia
Groups of people gathered along the road to catch a glimpse of the long-awaited evangelist the whole nation had been hearing of on radio and television.
Banjul, Day 1.
The love of God
Thousands gathered at the Bakau Independent Stadium for the first night of the long-expected Healing Jesus Campaign in the city. The atmosphere was filled with great excitement and expectation as the Evangelist Arrived at the Stadium.
Every eye was transfixed on Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills as he passionately preached about the great extent of God’s love for Gambia, and the sacrifice Jesus made to redeem the world.
Thousands gave their lives to Christ as the evangelist led them to the lord.
Stony Liver Healed!
A woman came upstage to testify that she had been healed of Liver Cancer. She said her liver used to be stone hard and very painful. During the prayer time, she felt the power of God over her life and her previously stone hard and painful side normalized! Alleluia!
Sight Restored!
A young lady testified that a needle accidentally pierced her left eye; rendering it partially blind. She could hardly read for more than a few seconds without pain. She said as the Evangelist prayed she placed her hand on the affected eye and after the prayer her sight was completely restored!
Congenital Parkinsonism Healed!
A young man whose hands have trembled from his birth was touched by the power of God during the campaign. He said his hands trembled so badly that sometimes he could not engage in normal activity. But by the grace of God, the trembling has ceased!
Banjul, Day 2.
First Day; Pastors’ Conference
Over two hundred pastors and church leaders the City of Banjul attended the Pastor’s Conference that was hosted at the Abiding Word Ministries (Senior Pastor; Rev Francis Forbes).
Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills taught one of the greatest keys to reaching the world with the gospel is to believe that Many are Called, and not just a selected elite.
He also taught from his book Steps To The Anointing. He urged pastors to recognize that the anointing is the most important thing in the life of any minister. Free copies of all the books he taught on were given to every participant. There was a great sense encouragement and spiritual impartation amongst the pastors as the Evangelist preached.
Who was Jesus?
There was greater joy and excitement in the crowd gathered on the second night of the healing Jesus Campaign in Banjul.
Every soul present at the campaign listened closely as the evangelist’s clear and unmistakable message echoed through the expectant crowd. In his simple and yet profound way, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills revealed the supernatural personality of Jesus Christ –not just a prophet but also the Only Begotten Son of God!
It was a sight to behold as people poured out forward to surrender their lives to Christ and choose Him as their Lord and Savior!

God confirmed His Word yet again with fantastic and amazing miracles.
Banjul, Day 3.
Second Day; Pastor’s Conference
Even more people attended the second day of the pastors’ conference in Banjul. Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills taught pastors and church leaders that the principal motivation of every minister is not to be great or to prosper but to be in the perfect will of God. The mindset of loosing, sacrificing and dying are the foundations of every minister who would be like Jesus Christ.
Each participant received a free copy of books such as; Losing, Sacrificing and Dying, The Perfect Will of God, and Church Growth.
Why Many People Believe In Jesus
Even more people turned out on the third night of the Healing Jesus Campaign in Banjul. Many more came to hear Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills and to be healed.
Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills magnified and exalted the person of Jesus Christ in the minds of everyone present. From His undisputable and amazing power to heal, to His triumph over death itself, the evangelist made it obvious even to the youngest mind that following Jesus Christ is the logical conclusion of everyone who compares Him to others.
God’s grace for salvation was abundantly present as thousands of hands were raised simultaneously to take a decision for Christ. Alleluia!
Banjul, Day 4
Third Day; Pastor’s Conference
The final day of the pastors’ conference in Banjul ended on a high note as evangelist Dag Heward-Mills taught on loyalty and how to catch the anointing.
In total the Evangelist had, by the end of the pastors conference, blessed each participant with nine different books. About 4,000 books in total were distributed free of charge at the end of the three-day conference. Pastors were really appreciative of the great spiritual investment and there was a general feeling of rich spiritual nourishment.
We are grateful to God for this great opportunity to be a blessing many places where much help is needed.
Choose!
An even larger crowd gathered at the Independence Stadium for the final night of the Healing Jesus Campaign in the Gambia. According to local pastors, this campaign has been the largest ever in the history of this nation. Many residents remarked that it was unusual for the campaign to have gone on for continuous four days without being interrupted by torrential downpours since it was being held in the rainiest month of The Gambia.
Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills preached a compelling sermon urging everyone present to Choose. Between life and death, heaven and hell. Every one present became immediately aware that salvation through Jesus Christ is an urgent decision that cannot be left hanging on a balance. He urged everyone to recognize the reality and eternal consequence of going to hell and make an immediate decision for Jesus Christ.
Thousands rushed forward with hands raised to publicly confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Alleluia.
Miracles in Banjul
There were many moving testimonies of miracles after Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills prayed for the sick.
She Can Now Raise her Arm!
A young lady came weeping on stage as she testified that she had been completely healed. She had an accident that left her with severe pain in the left arm. She could hardly move the arm. she could not control her tears as she narrated how the power of God touched her and she was suddenly healed of the pain. Alleluia!
Breast Lump Disappears!
A woman who had a lump and pain in her right breast was healed during the campaign. She said she felt heat passing through her right arm as the evangelist prayed. She said she had had a scan that showed a dark spot in the breast and she was scheduled to travel to Dakar, Senegal to confirm if it was a cancer. During the campaign she felt the power of God come over her and the lump completely disappeared. Praise God!
En Route to Dakar, Senegal
So many people received salvation and healing during the healing Jesus campaign in The Gambia. The Healing Jesus Campaign team worked diligently to pack up all equipment within a few hours to be able to ferry-cross the River Gambia and head for Dakar, Senegal where the next Healing Jesus Campaign is scheduled to begin in three days.
