A Season of Salvation

The extent of their excitement revealed that the visit of the Evangelist was a rare event of its kind.

Ziguinchor is a city located in the Casamance region of Senegal, which has a long history of sporadic violence, by separatist groups.  There are very few

churches, as only a small minority are Christians. We thank God for such a great opportunity to spread the good news of salvation where the need is so great.

DAY 1.

Miracles In Ziguinchor

At the “Stade Nema” where the actual campaign was to take place, thousands defied the heavy rainfall to gather in great expectation of what God was about to do.

The Miracle of Salvation

It was a sight to behold thousands of hands lifted up in the rain as Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills made an altar call to salvation. His sermon on John 3:16

was crystal clear. Everyone who received Jesus Christ knew exactly what they were doing! To God be the glory for the salvation of many souls in Ziguinchor.

Healing Miracles

God confirmed his word with many wonderful testimonies of healings that took place as Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills prayed for the sick. A crowd of people

who had been healed thronged the stage to testify.

Blind Man Healed

A eyes of an elderly blind man were opened as the evangelist prayed. He was so excited as he testified of his healing. He had been blind for years.

He laughed with excitement as he explained that he could now see! Alleluia!

Deaf Ears Opened

A young man who had been deaf in both ears for so many years also testified that his ears were opened during the campaign. He confessed that he now

believed more in Jesus Christ.

Lame Woman Walks

An elderly woman received strength in her body as Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills prayed at the campaign. Her daughter, who was with her, attested that

her mother could not walk and had to depend on a stick to move around. To the glory of God she is now healed and walks unaided.

Even more people are expected to gather at “Stade Nema” in the next few days, as news of the fantastic miracles spread across the city of Ziguinchor

Day 2

Pastors Conference

On the first day of the pastors and church leaders conference in Ziguinchor, about 200 pastors, church leaders and church workers gathered to hear

the Evangelist as he shared from his rich experience in the ministry. Notably, over 50 pastors and church leaders traveled all the way from neighboring

Guinea Bissau to attend the conference. Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills taught on how priceless a book is in the life of every minister and the importance

of reading. “If you cannot read, you do not lead!”

An important challenge the Healing Jesus Campaign has faced during this campaign is the fact that the Evangelist’s books as well as the drugs to be

distributed at the Free Medical Outreach were disallowed into the Country, and the truck carrying them is still at the border. Evangelist Dag made a

special offer to make some free copies of his books to everyone at the conference. Each participant also received a special teaching DVD.

Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills taught on how priceless a book is in the life of every minister. The Evangelist’s message was interpreted into

French and Portuguese.

The Night Campaign

The second night of the Healing Jesus Campaign in Ziguinchor was even more exciting. Despite the continuous rainfall, more people attended the

campaign since many had heard of the fantastic miracles that had taken place on the first night. Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills preached about

“The Love of God” and led the whole assembly to Jesus Christ.

There were even more exciting testimonies of miracles on the second night as the Evangelist prayed for the sick. Many battled to get onto the stage

to testify of the healing they had received.

Deaf Ears Pop Open!

An elderly woman who had been deaf in her right ear for so many years said she heard a popping sound in her deaf ear as the Evangelist prayed

and she was immediately healed! Alleluia!

Strength Restored!

A young lady who could not walk was touched by the power of God and received her healing. She was still trembling all over as she testified of the

miracle that had just taken place.

Night Blindness Healed!

Three little boys who were siblings were all healed of night blindness during the campaign. They came on stage with their aunt to testify of the

great miracle that they had all received.

Day 3

Pastors Conference

Teaching this morning from his book, The Art of Shepherding. Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, in his typical down-to-earth style revealed the parallels

between shepherding of real sheep or cattle and pastoring people.  Every pastor should take the blame for the lack of growth in his flock or ministry

after so many years. He encouraged the pastors of Ziguinchor and Guinea Bissau to have a vision to be Good Shepherds.

Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills also taught from his book Many Are Called. He taught that God had called far more people in Ziguinchor than the few pastors

who sit in the front row. He also offered a scholarship to all who wanted to be trained in the Anagkazo Bible School. Over 60 young men and women

expressed interest in this great opportunity to be trained for the ministry.

 

The Evening Campaign

The city of Ziguinchor was blessed with clear weather on the third night of the Healing Jesus Campaign. The crowd gathered was about twice the number on the previous night and there was so much excitement and expectation.

Evangelist Dag preached a passionate and compelling message; teaching the people of Ziguinchor to choose between Jesus (who is alive and existed from the beginning of all creation) and other gods or prophets who came after. He invited everybody to take a bold decision to come forward publicly to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The response was amazing, as a multitude of people poured out before the Evangelist with their hands lifted. To God be all the glory for this great harvest of souls. Alleluia!

Miracles started happening visibly at the stadium as Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills prayed for the sick. It was a wonderful sight to behold pockets of cheering and chanting within the crowd because people were witnessing someone close to then getting healed.

A young man who could not walk and had to be carried into a taxi to get to the campaign venue received his healing danced on the stage as he testified. His face radiating with a broad smile, and shaking his head in disbelief, he explained how he felt a cool sensation coming up his legs and then he realized he was healed! Praise the Lord!

A young lady, eighteen years old, could not control her tears as she testified that she could not hear in her right ear! She said she had been deaf in that ear since she was fourteen years old. She placed her hand on her ear as the evangelist prayed and for the first time in four years she could hear in that ear!
