JESUS CHRIST & HIS GRANTING OF PRIVATE INTERVIEWS

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15). God chooses specific people to make them your pastors. The main thing these pastors are to give you is knowledge and understanding. When you have knowledge, but do not have the understanding, it is like the difference between doctors and nurses. Nurses are great people and are wonderfully educated. However, what many people do not know is that doctors and nurses study the same subjects. Doctors tend to study these subjects for a longer period and more in depth giving them the ability to diagnose patients on a different level than nurses. There is a certain understanding that doctors have that nurses do not have. What I am saying is that God is giving you knowledge and deepening your understanding. When you have a deep understanding, you behave differently. You may know things but God wants you to understand. One of the reasons for stability is understanding. In the parable of the sower, the people fell away because they did not understand (Matthew 13:3-8). A lack of understanding causes people to fall away. Open your heart so that you will not be a part of the group that does not understand. When you have understanding, you will never be destabilized when the enemy comes because you are deeper than the average person.

Today, I want us to focus on our Savior Jesus Christ who is the express image of God (Hebrews 1:3). Just looking at Jesus, you can learn a lot. Many wonderful things can be learned about a person without talking to them. Simply watching them can teach you about them. Throughout His ministry, Jesus had a great public ministry. However, there were occasions where he granted private interviews. Today, I want to focus on these private interviews that Jesus held. You learn a lot from each of these private interviews.

The first good reason is that, in a private interview, many blessings come to you. One of these blessings are explanations that make you understand mysteries and parables more clearly.  Some of us are very content with staying far in all areas of life. You sit at the back, you never come near, no pastor knows you, you have no friends, have made yourself an isolated and depressed island. One of the early onsets of madness is quietness! These people disconnect from society and do not talk. This is not a good thing. “But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear” (Matthew 13:16). When you are brought close for a personal interview, you are having blessed eyes and ears that are about to see and hear things! “Lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them” (Matthew 13:15). When you are brought close to understand, you are healed! When you are brought close, it is for explanations and explanations cause you to understand better. Begin to draw close! Do not be content with being far. Press on to receive understanding.

THE MYSTERIES OF WISDOM

THE MYSTERIES OF WISDOM

Today, I want to share some mysteries with you tonight that will be helpful for your mission in life. Wisdom is a very important thing. The more you have the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord, the more your life changes. If you look at the world, those who manufacture and create, rule over those who buy the products that are made.

There are many sources of wisdom and knowledge. One of these sources is through schooling. Those who have been to the university have a level of wisdom that those without that formal education do not have. When you attend the university, you are at a level higher than those who have never completed that level of education. The more schooling you have obtained in life, the higher you will advance in life. The more you learn, the higher you move in life and wisdom. This is a principal that applies everywhere in life.

Another source of wisdom and knowledge is the Word of God or the church. Jeremiah 3:15 says and I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” In the church, you understand a lot of things about life which you cannot receive from school. That is why someone may not finish their education but looks higher than someone who completed their education. This is because they have received the wisdom of God that allows them to understand more practical and applicable things about life. When you go to school, you learn a lot but cannot use a majority of it. However, when you read the Bible, you find a lot of practical advice that can be applied to your daily living. That is why there is a special wisdom that you receive from God. The more you can receive of this wisdom, the better your life becomes. Why is this so? Because wisdom is the source of prosperity. The Bible says that riches are at the left hand of wisdom, “Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour” (Proverbs 3:16). We are told to exalt wisdom because she shall promote us and also bring to us honor. “Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her” (Proverbs 4:8). Promotion is as a result of the wisdom you will receive from God. Honor is another benefit of wisdom. Honor is respect. Some of us come to church and no one honors us as we come. However, as we receive wisdom, we will receive the respect God has placed upon our lives. Receive wisdom from the word of God and you will be honored. “…happy is every one that retaineth her” (Proverbs 3:18). Happiness is also another benefit of the wisdom of God. When you meet a stubborn person who does not receive advice, you find that they will always be sad because they did not listen. When you receive wisdom, even in the form of advice, you will find that happiness will become your portion. Your life will greatly be transformed because you listened to the sound advice of those God has placed in your life.

“Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace” (Proverbs 3:17). Pleasant things also come from wisdom. You will start to experience nice things when you receive more wisdom. Listen to Christian messages, listen to the podcasts and you will receive the wisdom of God. Peace is also one of the things that come from wisdom. When you walk the paths of wisdom, you will receive peace. The paths of life that you will walk on will bring peace in your life. When people are struggling and hustling in life, you are going to have peace because you received the wisdom of God.

“For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her” (Proverbs 3:14-15). You are going to have something more precious than rubies when you have wisdom. That is why even when people do not have money, they try to send their children to school. This is because they know that the wisdom their children will receive is more than any form of money they can give to their children. When you come to church, do not try to attain money. In life, there will always be people that have more than you. One of the important things is to be able to live with people who are richer than you without lusting after what they have. Do not look at people with desire in your heart, hoping that they will bless you and give you something. When you are poor and hungry, you have the mentality that even the smallest thing someone can give you will make a difference in your life. When you have this mindset, you will continually be frustrated in the presence of prosperous people. Take your mind off what somebody has and what somebody can give you. That is a beggar’s mindset and you will never be a beggar in your life. The fact that Lazarus was a beggar and went to heaven does not mean that it is God’s destiny for your life. God has destined that you receive something far above rubies. As you seek for wisdom and you search for it, you will receive something far more than any rubies that an individual can give you. Do not look at people’s blessings with desire. Just be okay and thankful that you have happiness. When you are experienced and have people that are desirous of what you have, you can feel it. No one wants to be around an individual who looks at them hungrily. Such people are dangerous. God will give you wisdom because wisdom is so important. The wisdom of God will sustain you in your life. Receive wisdom and your life will never be the same!
