HOW TO MAKE YOUR PROPHECIES COME TO PASS II

For two weeks, I have been sharing with the First Love Church on how to make the prophecies spoken over your life come to pass. Today, I would also like to share with you all on how to let the prophecies spoken over your life come to pass.

“And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the Lord thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king. And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart; And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.” (1 Samuel 12:19-21)

I have not yet found a good reason not to serve the Lord, no matter what anybody says. We must have no apologies for serving the Lord. You must also serve God because he delivers. I like the prayer of the Catholics that says, “Pray for us sinners now and in the hour our death”. It is a good prayer. In the hour of your death what profit is there with all your money, houses, degrees and all your goals? In the hour of your death, only what is profitable and what can deliver you will be useful.

“For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people. 23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:” (1 Samuel 12:22-23)

Prayers can keep you from dying. It is God who delivers you but it is also good to grow to the point of believing in prayer and in the prayers of God’s prophets. Like the Bible says, the prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). There are prayers that keep you from dying and all the prayers that you hear being spoken over you represent great deliverance in your life. When you are a person of faith, you learn to attribute things to God’s grace over your life. Learn to believe in prayer and the prayers of your prophet.

So today, I want to continue speaking blessings over you because the words that are being spoken are prophetically turning you into a great person. You cannot be the same based on the words that are being prophesied continuously over your life.

Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:” (Proverbs 25:6). You cannot make yourself great. When you are going to be great is determined by the Lord. God is about to choose you for certain great positions and places! When words are spoken over your life, do not mock them and trivialize them “Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth” (Isaiah 28:22). Do not be a mocker! As you read these words, do not sit there asking “when will the steps come”. It is important that you do not only believe in the steps that are given but also the written prophecies being spoken over your life.

Now there is one key of greatness that I would like to share with you today and it is from the book of Esther. “For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater” (Esther 9:4). Mordecai was an unlikely person who grew to become great! When you read the book of Esther, you will find out about his life. Mordecai’s greatness was due to his loyalty and faithfulness to the king. So today, believe me when I say to you that one of the things that makes you great is loyalty. Usually, people who have not built anything do not understand the importance of loyalty to the highest authority. Learn to be faithful to the highest authority that is there, whether the bank, political party, school or church. You will be called many names such as stooge, snitch, wiki leaks, teacher’s pet and more but always remember that your loyalty will bring about your greatness.

Blessings!

THE PROPHECY OF DANIEL

Let’s take a look today at the prophecy in chapter 12 of the book of Daniel. You’ll see that prophetic knowledge does not usually flow sequentially. The book of Isaiah for instance, has several verses you may not understand but then you suddenly you read “unto us a son is given and his name shall be called him Immanuel” which is a great and significant prophecy about Christ our Lord. You read consecutive verses which may confuse you but then alas, you see, “if you are willing and obedient you shall eat of the fruit of the land,” you lack understand going forward and then you encounter our almighty verse for healing, “by his stripes we are healed!” This is how prophecies work, they are enigmatic and not systematic. That is why we must pray for understanding when we encounter any kind of prophetic ministry.

“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book” (Daniel 12:1). There is an angel specially assigned to Israel. This is probably one of the reasons why the country of Israel wins the wars it fights and why it is the most mysterious country in the whole world. Imagine that every Ghanaian who speaks one of the local dialects, is removed from the country and dispersed all over the world. After 2000 years, all descendants, who no longer speak the language are brought back to a nation from all over the world with an individual making it his personal goal to write and teach all these descendants the language once again. This creates a whole new country that speaks and writes the original local dialect. This is the story of Israel and it demonstrates how peculiar of a nation it is. As we can see in the world, there are many more countries going into wars and facing absurdities and voting wrong as right. When this time comes, the scripture tells us that the Israelites will be delivered. Between 1939 to 1945, six million Israelis were slaughtered. However, God has managed to deliver them and has kept them. In this passage, there are two groups that are being saved, the old people that truly belong to God and the new people who he has saved because the old people rejected him. In the church, we always have that. There are the old original people who at a point do not like what they have. This creates space for new people which leads to both the old and new group being saved and belonging to God.

“And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2). If you have ever exhumed a dead body, you will under this scripture better. If you leave a body in the grave for some time, it becomes dust, a reddish, moist-like powder but slightly darker than red dust. If you ever see this, you understand verses that speak about “they that lay in the dust” because the human body literally becomes dust. Fifty years from now, there will be only a few of us who would not have turned into dust still alive. Jesus may not come for another 500 plus years so one day, people may be reading about us as though they are reading about history. Everybody in every age and every era has thought that Christ was coming within the next forty years of when they were around and there has always been trouble but no one really knows of the trouble the Bible speaks about. There may be what we consider to be trouble now but for all we know, these may be the cool times of life and greater trouble is ahead.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased” (Daniel 12:4). This verse contains three marvelous revelations that help us to understand verse three of this chapter better. The first marvelous revelation states, “shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end.” This was an instruction to Daniel to seal and shut up the book he was writing until the end. Every book has a seal and that is why you need a guide for every book. This is why Philip the evangelist went to the eunuch and asked him “Understandest thou what thou readest (Acts 8:30)? To which the eunuch replied “How can I, except some man should guide me” (Acts 8:31)? You need a guide to direct you in reading and understanding books for the seals to be open to you. In the book of revelation, there was a lot of crying and weeping because no one was found worthy to open the seals (Revelation 5). What you must understand is that any time you hear the word book, associate it with the word seal. When it is sealed, you can read it but without understanding it. There are some books that you will understand at a certain time. So even though you may have read it this season, at another season of your life when you open it, it may make one hundred times more sense to you and be of a greater blessing to you. That is why the same book must be read over and over again and at different seasons of your life.

The next truth the verse reveals is that “many shall run to and fro.” This speaks about traveling. There has never been as much traveling in the world as there is today. The movement of human beings is one of the most amazing phenomena of this era. Even in small nations, the statistics of flights at the airports have jumped drastically. Some years ago, it would take six months to travel from London, England to India, with the possibility of the sink shipping. Now, it takes about ten hours or less. This is one of the main characteristics of our world today: constant traveling. The other characteristic is that “knowledge shall be increased.” Knowledge has increased in the world. Today, anybody can google a question as difficult as “the distance from the earth to the sun” and that knowledge will be instantly supplied to you. Receive knowledge and take advantage of all the knowledge that has been supplied to you today.
