It has been two weeks since the Healing Jesus Campaign team set off to preach the pure salvation of Jesus Christ in the nation of Zambia. Eight cities and countless miracles later, Jesus Christ is bringing many to Him, healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the blind to see and the deaf to hear. He is a healing Jesus indeed. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever! What an honor it is to be used by Him to bring many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As the campaign continues until September 5th, I ask that you and pray and believe with me that many more will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I know and believe that the nation of Zambia will never be the same again! Join me live today, via healingjesus.tv, Youtube or Facebook live, as the campaign arrives in Chililabombwe, Zambia to win many souls for the kingdom of God.

I had the privilege of being invited to minister at the Cathedral of Praise in Manila, Philippines this past week. God gave us the opportunity to witness many amazing testimonies of healing and miracles!

We witnessed a 95 year old great-grandmother who had been deaf for 12 years receive healing in ears and today, she can hear! We also witnessed a woman blind for many years receive healing for her sight. A young dancer who had not been able to dance in church due to back pain also received her healing. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Indeed He is a healing Jesus!!! What a mighty God we serve!

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise” (Jeremiah 17:14).

He Is A Healing Jesus

By the grace of God, I have been in Liberia for the past couple of weeks. The Lord has not ceased to amaze me with the wonders and miracles that He has done here in Liberia. By the grace of God, We have held Campaigns in Zwerdu, Ganta, Gbarnga, Kakata and Godwilling tomorrow, I will be in Buchanan, Liberia! Yesterday being the end of our time in Kakata, the presence of the Lord and present!

The Lord did many fantastic miracles in Kakata! A man who had been completely blind for 5 years received his healing. He said he knew the Lord would heal him – he had hoped against all hope for years. Both he and his wife rejoiced before the Lord. Also, A young boy who was born blind received his healing. His auntie testified that they were far at the back and had to press their way through the crowd. The little boy believed with all his heart that he would be healed – and the Lord rewarded his faith.  After the prayer he told his auntie ‘I can see everything!’. His auntie could not control her tears of joy.

The miracles continued as a lady who had been bitten by a snake three times received her healing! Her finger was completely stiff due to the effects bites. While we were praying, I felt strongly that  someone who has been bitten by a snake was being healed. This woman heard and received her healing and can now move her fingers. What a marvelous God!

I believe than an angel of the Lord would continue to move around Kakata and more miracles would occur after the campaign ends. We thank God for what he has already done and what he is going to do in Kakata.

Today, we embark on another journey to Buchanan Liberia! Souls will be won, in Jesus name! Blessings!

God Calls People Who Are Not Eloquent

“Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD!  Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.”  Jeremiah 1:6

God calls people who are NOT ELOQUENT.  An eloquent person expresses himself readily, clearly and effectively.

The prophet Jeremiah knew that he could not express himself very well and he said so.  This is a common complex that people who are “called” have.  When you listen to eloquent preachers who have been in ministry for years, you wonder if you will ever be able to speak like them.  With such shining examples before you it is always easier to remain in your world of anonymity.

When God called me to the ministry, my greatest problem was my inability to speak in public. I sought out the leader of our fellowship and asked him to pray for me because my greatest problem was my inability to stand before a group of people and speak. I remember when I knelt down to be prayed for about this problem.

Today, I am able to preach to many people in spite of this initial difficulty. Today, I am invited to minister the Word all over the world.

Do not be worried if you are not a good speaker. God does call people who are not good speakers and turns them into preachers par excellence.

Dear friend, have faith in God. Trust Him to make you into something you are not.  If He can raise up stones to worship Him, then He can use you too. Be blessed with these few words and enjoy the pictures of my recent trip to Lebanon.

PS: I was invited by the Abundant Life Church& Ministries to minister at at their Annual Summer International Conference. It was a powerful conference with people gathering from all over the Middle East. I thank God for yet another opportunity to preach His Word!

Healing Jesus Crusade in Ede, Nigeria!

It has been 5 powerful nights of preaching salvation, taking testimonies of fantastic healing and miracles here in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria! Day after day and night after night we have witnessed practically the saving and healing power in the name of Jesus.

I arrived into Ede in the afternoon of Tuesday the 5th of July 2011 and was escorted to the Sekona Grammar School park where a grand welcome reception was officially held to welcome the Healing Jesus Crusade to Ede. On the same day also, I paid a courtesy call to the King of Ede. On our way there, different sections of the streets in Ede town were lined up with people waving and cheering the convoy as we made our way to the king’s palace. I also paid a courtesy call to the governor of Osun State at his office in nearby Osogbo the next day before the night crusade.

Everywhere we have been in Nigeria, we have have been welcomed so warmly and I want to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to all pastors, church leaders, the governor, the king and all other leaders of Ede land for their warm reception and kind words. What a great privilege and blessing it is to go into a country where you are not known and be received and greatly honored.

Night after night, I shared with the crusade attendees on the message of  “John 3:16”- A pure gospel salvation message. For God so loved the world (including the people of Ede) that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever (including you) believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. What better message could I offer a town with over 85%  muslim population?

God blessed this crusade with many many souls, fantastic miracles and testimonies of healing. In this crusade, we have witnessed the blind seeing, the lame walking, the deaf hearing, the dumb speaking, complex diseases being healed and even the dead being raised! For the second time in my life and ministry as an Evangelist, I have witnessed a dead person come back to life. Do click on the link below to read the testimony in full:

Perhaps the best part of the this evangelistic effort to Ede for me are the books we have been able to make available to the pastors and leaders of the Ede and it’s neighbouring towns. On the last day of the morning Pastors conference, all the books sold out after a ‘Buy One @N500, Get Three Books For Free’ promotion. Also, every pastor that helped in the planning for the crusade was given a set of my four textbooks as a gift.

I believe strongly that the books will have a lasting effect on the lives and ministries of the pastors and leaders of Ede even after the crusade is long gone.

Ede has been been yet another good experience for the Healing Jesus Crusade team. We thank God for His grace and for preserving the lives of entire team.

May the Lord specially bless the Advance Team guys who have lived here for months and worked hard in ensuring that the crusade is a success and also all board members and partners who support the crusades financially. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

A Father is A Rare Gift

For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

1 Corinthians 4:15

The gift of a “father” is a rare gift.  Not every man of God is a father.  Not everyone who teaches the Word of God is a father. Not all the visiting preachers and teachers were fathers.

Not every prophet is father and Paul pointed this out to the Corinthians.

There will be many people who will make an input into your life.  Instructors and teachers abound but these are different from fathers.  A father’s input is comprehensive.  A father gives you a complete package that goes further than a good teaching.  A teacher is concerned about giving a good lesson. A prophet is concerned about ministering the power of God through visions, dreams and words of knowledge. But a father is concerned with your total welfare.

Because fathering involves much more, there are not many fathers!  It is easier to go through the prepared notes than it is to give total care.  People can be so difficult and so ungrateful that only fathers can handle them over the long term.

There are many, many pastors, evangelists and prophets, but a fathering prophet–who can find?  That is why Paul said:  “You can have ten thousand instructors but you do not have many fathers.”

The key characteristic of a father is not his age but his ability to produce after his own kindContrary to some opinions, there are many young people with a father’s heart.

In the natural, people often become fathers at a young age.  The proof of fatherhood is in the children who are produced by the father.  It takes love, commitment and patience to bring up children.  In the end, the children attest to your fatherhood.

In the natural, people often become fathers at a young age.  The proof of fatherhood is in the children who are produced by the father.  It takes love, commitment and patience to bring up children.  In the end, the children attest to your fatherhood.

The fathering spirit is that thing which causes a man of God to produce people just like himself in the ministry.  Very simply put, the fathering gift is a manifestation of God’s love.  It takes love to bring up people who don’t understand what is being done for them.

It takes love to bring up people who will not understand you for many years.  Truly, God sends many, many teachers who minister to our lives.  They will minister the lessons and the points that make up the doctrine.  But a father will go many steps further.  In addition to teaching you, he will minister the love and the patience that are needed to bring you into God’s perfect will.

Idealism in a minister makes him look for perfection all the time.  Idealists and perfectionists are not usually good fathers.  They often do not appreciate that the grace of God is working slowly in someone’s life.   They insist on perfection all the time and that is not possible with human beings.

You can receive a man of God as a teacher.  You can also receive him as a pastor.  You may receive a man of God as a prophet or evangelist.  It is also possible to receive him as a father.

May you find a father in this life!  May you receive the capacity to love and to become a father yourself!

Do Not Become Bitter!

I attended the funeral of a great man of God. There were several comments passed by people who knew this man.  There was, however, one comment that struck me. This comment was given by a seasoned minister.
He said, “Our brother has given us a good example in life. He showed us how to live and he has also shown us how to die.  In life, he was cheerful, pleasant and full of faith.  But in the years that run up to his death he was equally cheerful, pleasant and full of faith.”
Then he added, “He never became bitter in spite of his sickness and suffering.”
I think that was a powerful testimony of a man who successfully went through a test of suffering.   He manifested faith and hope through his suffering.
Unfortunately, this is not what happens to everyone who goes through suffering.  Some people become bitter because of the contradictory sufferings they experience after giving everything to God.
Don’t Become Bitter Because of Your Suffering
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hebrews 12:3
The bible teaches about how Jesus Christ received the contradiction of sinners (Hebrews 12:3).  What is the contradiction of sinners?  It is experiencing something contrary to what you would expect.
After doing good deeds and serving the Lord you expect to receive a nice reward.  After being a good husband, you expect to receive nice treatment from your wife. You do not expect to receive insults, accusations, bad food or bad sex. That would be a contradiction.
After being a good wife you expect to receive love, care and devotion from your husband.  You do not expect to have an antagonistic, hateful uncaring and unfaithful husband.  That would also be a contradiction.
Be careful when you receive the contradiction of sinners.
Receiving the contradiction of sinners is one of the sufferings we are to experience on this earth. Do not turn against God when you receive the contradiction of sinners.  Jesus experienced the contradiction of sinners and showed us how to endure it.
Do not become bitter.
Do not say that you need to be happy in this life.
Do not say that you need a break.
Do not say that you need to get away from all this.

You can never get away from the will of God!

Thinking about Salvation

Some years ago, I read about how the famed evangelist D. L. Moody learnt how to preach effectively. He met Henry Moorhouse who promised to come to America and preach in D.L. Moody’s church. When he did go in February 1868, he preached for seven nights from John 3:16. He also counselled D.L. Moody to

“teach what the bible says and not your own words and show people how much God loves them.”

This is perhaps the most beautiful, meaningful and important piece of advice any evangelist can receive. Stay with the scripture! Preach the words that are in the bible! Show people that God loves them! Do not use your own words!

I asked myself if I could preach for seven nights on John 3:16. Indeed, preaching about salvation is not as simple as it sounds. We live in a time where pastors rarely preach the salvation gospel of Jesus Christ. Indeed, many of us do not even know how to preach about salvation. The knowledge of this beautiful salvation and the different ways to present it is very limited today. I have often been accused of preaching ‘basics’.

People have used the word ‘basics’ in a derogatory way implying that I did not have anything new, current and modern to preach about. But what is more current, what is more relevant and what is more modern than the salvation that Jesus purchased for us with His blood?

May the Lord have mercy on us all and bring us back to the message of the cross. The message of gospel salvation.

Happy Easter to you.
