THE SPIRIT OF LOVE

If Jesus was standing right next to you? What would you ask Him? About His travel plans for your life or His plans of prosperity in your life? One of the best and wisest questions was asked of Jesus in Matthew 22:36 and I am so glad that this individual asked. “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment” (Matthew 22:36-38). Jesus said that there is nothing else like this commandment in the entire world or Bible. There is nothing more important than becoming someone who loves God. No job, amount of money, full or lay ministry, husband or wife is greater than loving God.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Loving God involves the spirit of love.” And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). Loving God is something that is imparted unto us. It is one of the highest prayers one can pray, to love God. People do not actually love God. They love the things He gives to them but do not actually love Him. People do not love God because they love other things. What do people love as opposed to God?

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” (1 John 2:15). The love of the world is something that draws people away from loving God. The love of this world deletes that love of God in you. One way to get yourself to love God is to delete all the alternatives that have been presented to you. If loving God is the greatest commandment, it must have the greatest reward. There is nothing more beneficial in this world than loving God. If you are not prayerful but you love God, I believe you may be even more blessed than a prayerful person. Just think about it, who would you prefer? Someone who loves you dearly and never asks for anything or an individual who asks you for a lot of things but does not love you? An individual always saying “give me, give me, give me” or someone who has dreamy eyes for you? May you have dreamy eyes for God! What are the things of the world? Expensive cars, lavish houses, the USA, Germany, Australia, money. It is not easy to love two people. One must go out for another to have its rightful place. From today, the love of the world is out of you.

SPIRIT OF POWER, LOVE & SOUND MIND III

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). How many of us love wine? How many love the spirit? So then, we must not be drunk with wine, but be filled with the spirit. “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19). The Bible tells us to speak to ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. The spiritual songs we listen to are supposed to speak to us. They are anointed songs written to speak to us. From henceforth, we must be more conscious of the songs we listen to.

This is a message for young people. Ask the next spiritual person you see if they are young. Sometimes, you see people who act and dress old but are not. They are suffering from premature aging in their mind. You can sometimes encounter young people in their twenties who behave like aunties. When you marry them, they move to another level and act like headmistresses. It is as if people have to apply for permission to do things. How many people would like to live with such a person? We must all learn to be young people at heart. Receive the word of God and the counsel it comes with.

“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord (2 Timothy 1:1-2). You do not have to be biologically related to an individual to be called a son or a daughter. Not many people grow up with the opportunity to see what is portrayed as the ideal family, mother, father and children all living together, sitting down and having dinner. How many of us can truly say we grew up under such an environment? There are many people who do not do well because they think that they did not have an ideal home. I want you to know that many people did not have this ideal home. In my experience as a pastor, I have come to realize that very few people grow up under this ideal home. What does God do take care of this? He gives us fathers, mothers and other people to make up for the deficiency that you had or currently have. You may have to accept other people to becomes fathers and mothers to you. You may also have to accept others to become sons and daughters. What I have noticed is that individuals who are extremely dependent on the biological also have some deficiencies. Even the best parents in the world have some short comings. If you do not humble yourself to relate with individuals, you will miss out on something that you are supposed to acquire in life. We are all a mixture of individuals we do not even know. Do not be so family conscious. Learn to accept fathers and mothers that God brings into your life to supplement the biological family you have. I see us all being more receptive of the fathers brought into our lives.

SPIRIT OF POWER, LOVE & SOUND MIND

Today is a day where God is giving you His Holy Spirit! Now Jesus told us one important thing to pray about and that was to pray for the Holy Spirit. I believe today that as you read this word, God will pour out His Holy Spirit upon you. When the Holy Spirit is given to you, beautiful things begin to happen. “Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city: Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest” (Isaiah 32:13-15). When He gives you the Holy Spirit, the wilderness of your life will be a fruitful field. So, anyone who is not able to be a good Christian, you are receiving the Holy Spirit so that the wilderness in your life will be turned into a controlled, fruitful field. Your life will be controlled by God. All forms of wild things running around in your life are coming to an end today in Jesus name. Receive the Holy Spirit!

“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:5-7). There is a theory that some things are passed on spiritually (2 Timothy 1:5). Therefore, you must be careful. The gift of God is such that is must be stirred up. Now, you can have a gift but it may not be useful to you. It is like receiving a package and not opening it. Until that package is opened, it is not useful to you! Many people have gifts. There are an abundance of individuals with gifts but as to whether their gifts can ever be used is the question. There is more to the gift than just having it. When God gives you a gift, you need to overcome fear and then He gives you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind to activate the gift. With these three spirits, you can stir up your gift and use it. When you have the spirit of fear, it means that you cannot work. However, God has given us something to enable the use of whatever gift we have. You may be gifted as a beautiful girl but your beauty may not give to you the gift of a marriage or a happy marriage at that. The great gift that God is giving to you is going to be made real and possible by these spirits: spirit of power, spirit of love and spirit of sound mind. Whatever gift you have, whether singing, dancing, business savviness or whatever it may be, you need these spirits to stir up your gift. Receive the spirit of power, the spirit of love and the spirit of a sound mind today in Jesus name.

MY LONG-AWAITED PROMOTION HAS COME IV

Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end (Deuteronomy 8:16).

God is testing you so that he can promote you. Sometimes you remain in a place longer than expected because you did not pass the tests that came before the promotion. It is important that you take note of the tests and see things as God wants you to see them.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no (Deuteronomy 8:2).

One of the things that tests do is that they humble you. You know within yourself that you cannot easily pass that same test if given to you within a short span. There is nobody reading this who is not going to pass the tests given to them and is not going to be greatly promoted. When God blesses and promotes you, you start to follow what is written in Deuteronomy 8:18 “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” As time goes by, you will realize that God has blessed you and given you the power to get wealth. Now wealth is relative. It is sometimes based on what you need. People can earn ten to twenty times more than you do but you with your smaller amount of money can do more than they can. Gradually, you will notice a change in your finances. God expects you to notice these changes financially and give Him thanks. When you do that, you will start to notice that you are climbing higher and higher. When you do not notice such things, you are not thankful. Thankfulness is different from saying thank you. You can say thank you but you are not thankful. Being thankful is always being grateful and appreciative. Today, I want you to make a conscious effort to become a thankful person. Recognize the tests that will come your way on the path to your long-awaited promotion.

“To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion” (Proverbs 1:2-4).

Discretion is one of the tests you will go through on the path to your long-awaited promotion. Discretion is the ability to take decisions on your own. Sometimes, you are blessed to have good advice but many times, there is nobody to tell you what to do. That is when you are told to use your own discretion. Your discretion is going to come into play all the time in your life and each time you make a decision, it will either cause you rise up or fall down. Receive discretion to pass your tests on the path to your long-awaited promotion.

THE COMPONENTS OF YOUR LONG-AWAITED PROMOTION

“Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalm 75:5-7).

There is what we call non-verbal communication, things you are saying without saying verbally opening your mouth to say. The Bible is full of examples of such communication styles like speaking with a stiff neck. This form of speaking, with a stiff neck, is pride and you are being delivered from all forms of pride today in Jesus name!

Today, I want to share with you on the components of your long-awaited promotion.

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.. . And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” (Revelation 5:1-12).

You cannot put God in a box. When you read verse four of Revelation 5, it described Jesus as the lion of the tribe of Judah. However, when they showed who was on the throne, it was a lamb! You see, God can come to you in any way he sees fit. God has different presentations of himself. He is not predictable. Do not be so predictable for the devil to prevail against you. As we read on in Revelation 5, we receive the seven components of your long-awaited promotion in verse twelve: power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessing! To receive these components of your long-awaited promotion, you must prepare for tests and pass them all. For God’s promotion to come to pass, everyone will have to pass the same tests at one point or another. Look at the past questions written in the Bible to successfully pass these tests.

“The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion (Proverbs 1:1-4). To receive your promotion, you will be tested on your wisdom, instruction, understanding, judgement, justice subtilty and discretion. For more on your long-awaited promotion, visit my podcast to listen to this message “The Components of Your Long-Awaited Promotion “. May you begin to experience traces of your long-awaited promotion.

MY LONG-AWAITED PROMOTION HAS COME

Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.  Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah” (Psalm 3:1-2).

If you live long enough, you will find yourself professing the statements of verses one and two. You will find that there will be an increase in the number of people that trouble you and rise up against you. You will also have an increased number of people that are talking about you. So today, no matter how many people have increased against you, no matter the whispering and gatherings against you, I predict that the Lord is the shield about you and your glory and the lifter of your head. God will lift up your head and make you smile again.

“I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.” (Psalm 3:4-5)

God is hearing every prayer that you pray. Do not stop praying. There is a difference between those who pray and those who do not pray. God is hearing all your prayers. If you stay in your church long enough, you will learn to believe in prayers. You may not know how powerful verse five is until you meet somebody who says “we went to bed and did not wake up.” I recently saw a story of a woman who got married and twenty-nine days later went to bed with her husband and he simply did not wake up after twenty-nine days of marriage. You will wake up every morning this year in Jesus name!

“I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about” (Psalm 3:6).

I want to say that there has always been danger. There is danger today and danger is only increasing. In every country you go to, you find increasing danger of so many things. A few days ago, a story came out about a man in a local New York hospital who got up and began to shoot in the hospital. You would have thought this would happen in other parts of the world and not in New York and certainly not in a hospital. You are saved from every peculiar danger in your area in Jesus name. When you are a fighter, you will always find people seeking to destroy you. That is why Jerusalem was described as beautiful for situation (Psalm 48:2). If you were going to fight with any city, you would find it difficult to go against the people of Jerusalem because it was up on a hill. You are safe in Jesus name. God has given you a good Jerusalem to secure you and secure your life. Your situation is good in Jesus name.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR PROPHECIES COME TO PASS

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation” (2 Peter 1:19-20).

The Bible is full of so many prophecies that you may think it is a joke. The reality is that they are all true and we must take them all serious. As I speak on how to make these prophecies come to pass in your life, do not joke with them. Take it seriously and you will see the word of God being fulfilled practically in your life!

“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:” (Colossians 3:10). Your natural self, unimproved physically, is not so nice. If you come as you are, it is not the best version of yourself that can be presented. That is why you must put on the new man because the old man is not nice.

“But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; (Colossians 3:8-12).

So how do you make these prophecies come to pass? You must first and foremost accept people as Christians and not by their tribe, nationality or color. “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all” (Colossians 3:11). Your greatness is greatly reduced the more concerned you are with the tribes and nationalities of individuals. Your greatness comes from the number of people you can relate with diverse backgrounds. The more you differentiate people by their nationality, the less great you become.

To become a great person, you must be full of kindness and mercy. “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;” (Colossians 3:12). Your greatness is connected to the mercies you have. The greatness of your marriage is directly connected to the mercies and kindness you have. The people you are kind to, will be the greatest and most committed people you have in your life. Before you have authority, you are to be kind. God will not give you authority if you are not kind. Everyone will receive a little power at one point of their life so always remember this that your greatness is linked to your ability to show kindness and mercy.

“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;” (Colossians 3:12). Humbleness of mind and meekness are a requirement to becoming great. Decide to be a humble person or nobody. Meekness is the manifestation of humility in you. The lack of meekness in you is the lack of seeing in you. When you cannot see, the Bible calls it stubbornness. Stubbornness and inflexibility are dangerous traits to have. There must be a place where when you are told you are wrong, that is the end of it. There must be a voice in your life that when you hear, brings about the conclusion of your argumentative nature. It is good to have beliefs but there is a point where the Lord says put it off. Today marks the end of stubbornness, delusions and inflexibility in your life!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR PROPHECIES COME TO PASS III

“Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee! Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. “Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side” (Psalms 71:19-21)

God is saying here to you that despite all the troubles you have seen and despite how low you sense within yourself, He will lift you up. This is your prophecy for the week. Things are not always shining or always smooth. Sometimes, you wonder if you have been marked to experience an abundance of trouble. I prophecy to every dry bone and every sore in your life, according to the word of God written, that He shall increase your greatness and comfort you. I prophecy to you that whatever sore or whatever trouble you may be experiencing, God is comforting you on every side and surely increasing your greatness.

“And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.  And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found” (Luke 15:11-32).

This is a story of two brothers who all started at the same level. However, at the end of the day, one of the boys ended up poor and the other was rich. Everyone starts at the same spot in the race of life. Today marks the day that you choose to follow the master keys to prosperity. Let us look at some of the master keys that we can glean from the story of the prodigal son.

The first master key is, do not follow the ways of the youth. “Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord” (Psalms 25:7). Many of the problems we have as adults have their origins from our youth. There are a lot of things that hunt you and plague you for the rest of your life when you partake in them as a young person. From 2 Timothy 2:22, we know that it is possible to follow righteousness as a young person; “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” When an older person is pure, it is not as impressive as a young person. You may choose to dabble in many foolish things as a younger person but you can easily not return from it. The Bible says to “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;” (Ecclesiastes 12:1). It is possible to remember God as a young person. Do not think you can easily return from the sins of your youth when you get older. Believe that you as a young person can have the wisdom of an older person.

The next master key to learn from the prodigal son is, do not ask to enjoy things that are for the future now. Forcing to have things that are meant for the future now can destroy you. “And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living” (Luke 15:12). Why do you, as a 16-year-old, want to enjoy the benefits of marriage now? You want somebody to hold you and squeeze you. You want to ejaculate so badly that you are now addicted to pornography and masturbation. You want to have the money for your future now and that is why you are forcing yourself to go for a loan. Your whole life is changing because you are forcing to have future things destined for you now!  Do not attempt to take what is meant for your future now. It will destroy you. Do not force yourself to be something you are not. When you are not at a certain point in life, stop pretending. Receive wisdom and the prophecies spoken about your greatness will come to pass.

Blessings!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR PROPHECIES COME TO PASS II

For two weeks, I have been sharing with the First Love Church on how to make the prophecies spoken over your life come to pass. Today, I would also like to share with you all on how to let the prophecies spoken over your life come to pass.

“And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the Lord thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king. And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart; And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.” (1 Samuel 12:19-21)

I have not yet found a good reason not to serve the Lord, no matter what anybody says. We must have no apologies for serving the Lord. You must also serve God because he delivers. I like the prayer of the Catholics that says, “Pray for us sinners now and in the hour our death”. It is a good prayer. In the hour of your death what profit is there with all your money, houses, degrees and all your goals? In the hour of your death, only what is profitable and what can deliver you will be useful.

“For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people. 23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:” (1 Samuel 12:22-23)

Prayers can keep you from dying. It is God who delivers you but it is also good to grow to the point of believing in prayer and in the prayers of God’s prophets. Like the Bible says, the prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). There are prayers that keep you from dying and all the prayers that you hear being spoken over you represent great deliverance in your life. When you are a person of faith, you learn to attribute things to God’s grace over your life. Learn to believe in prayer and the prayers of your prophet.

So today, I want to continue speaking blessings over you because the words that are being spoken are prophetically turning you into a great person. You cannot be the same based on the words that are being prophesied continuously over your life.

Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:” (Proverbs 25:6). You cannot make yourself great. When you are going to be great is determined by the Lord. God is about to choose you for certain great positions and places! When words are spoken over your life, do not mock them and trivialize them “Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth” (Isaiah 28:22). Do not be a mocker! As you read these words, do not sit there asking “when will the steps come”. It is important that you do not only believe in the steps that are given but also the written prophecies being spoken over your life.

Now there is one key of greatness that I would like to share with you today and it is from the book of Esther. “For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater” (Esther 9:4). Mordecai was an unlikely person who grew to become great! When you read the book of Esther, you will find out about his life. Mordecai’s greatness was due to his loyalty and faithfulness to the king. So today, believe me when I say to you that one of the things that makes you great is loyalty. Usually, people who have not built anything do not understand the importance of loyalty to the highest authority. Learn to be faithful to the highest authority that is there, whether the bank, political party, school or church. You will be called many names such as stooge, snitch, wiki leaks, teacher’s pet and more but always remember that your loyalty will bring about your greatness.

WHAT IS IN THE OIL? THE APOSTOLIC SPICE

Today, I would like to share on the topic “What Is In The Oil”?

“Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,” (Exodus 30:23)

This scripture is talking about the anointing that is placed on people that are serving the Lord. When you are anointed, the oil of the Lord is poured over your life. In the oil, there are principal spices. The word principal means the main thing. This means that there are the main ingredients and spices in the oil and secondary ingredients. What are the main spices within the oil?

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;” (Ephesians 4:11)

These are the main spices found within the oil. Any minister of substance has at least one of these spices. However, the Bible tells us that the first and most important spice is that of an Apostle. “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way” (1 Corinthians 12:28-31).

The spice of an Apostle is the most needed spice in the church. However, it is also the most lacked spice within the church. Rarity is associated with value. Things that are often valuable are the rarest to find. If you want to desire anything, desire the spice of an Apostle! Covet earnestly after the Apostolic spice. Though these five main spices are essential, the gift of the Apostle is the most valuable. Now who is an Apostle and what sets them apart from the other principal spices?

One of the main characteristics of an Apostle is that they are close; genuinely close to Jesus. “And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.” (Luke 9:10). The Apostles were so close to Jesus that even after he had spoken to the crowd, he took them aside to speak with them privately. They had no titles yet, their ability to be close set them apart from everyone. Being close is far more important than receiving a title. The real Apostles were those who were close to Jesus and not the chief priests of those times. Desire to be close. Do not be content to be an unknown. You can never be an Apostle if you are not close. The Apostolic spice is the spice of closeness. Fight to be close! Fight to come out of obscurity! Fight to be known. Receive the desire for the Apostolic spice from today.

Blessings!
