The spiritual powers that release wealth are very real. You must all have the book “Why Non-Tithing Christians are Poor and How Tithing Christians Can Become Rich” to really understand the power of tithing in creating wealth. Certain spiritual keys are activated in your life when you are a tither! Tithing is spiritual because it fulfills the law of humility.” Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (James 4:10). Proud people do not pay tithe! Proud people say “these pastors are spending all our money. Look at the cars they drive.” That is how they speak. Do not follow pride. Humble yourself! It takes humility to say “Oh God I believe that it is not my own hard work, strength, ability or gift that has gotten me what I have but your grace. So, I am returning a tenth of what you have given to me.” Doing that is an act of humility. There are many things that are an act of humility. Any time you do something that is humbling, you are exposing yourself to promotion. Humility is always a stepping stone to going up.
Tithing also fulfills the law of sowing and reaping! “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy” (Psalms 126:5). You will by all means reap. You cannot sow without reaping. Even though your tithe belongs to the Lord, it is a type of reaping. When you do not sow, you will not reap. When you do not sow the tithe, there is nothing to reap for a thousand years. “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom” (Luke 6:38). Who are these men that will give to you? God will use anyone and everyone to bless you! Money is very spiritual.
Tithing also fulfills the law of prioritization, which is having priorities. All students who break the law of priorities never do well in school. Running 400 meters in school or playing volleyball can never be more important than your academics. If you do not know what comes first, you have broken the law of priorities. Matthew 6:33 says that seek ye first the kingdom of God. In other words, in the kingdom of God, certain things must be done first. The Bible says, bring all the tithes first (Deuteronomy 12:6)! God must have His tithe first. God will never take something that is left over. If it is not good enough for you, it is certainly not good enough for God! What comes first will determine a lot of things in your life. You have to know what is important. That is why you must also go to school first instead of deciding years later when you are advanced in life that you want to complete your education.
Tithing also fulfills the key of copying! The Bible tells us, “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12). Now if we follow Jews, they have inherited the promise that was given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. One of the great things Jews do is to pay tithes! To get to where someone is, you must copy what they did. It is the fastest way to catch up with people that are in front of you. Anything that is working and ahead of you, learn it by copying not understanding. How do you catch up? By copying! You are struggling in this life because you are struggling to understand things in this life that cannot be understood until you copy. From today, decide to become a copier! From today, decide to become a tithe payer! It is spiritual and will release financial wealth into your life.
