“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification” (1 Corinthians 14:10).
The Bible tells us that there are many kinds of voices in the world that influence us. One of these voices is the voice of circumstances. Your circumstances are not what should lead you because God has called you to do great things in this life. Circumstances can appear as the cares of this world. “Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful” (Matthew 13:18-22). You must be careful about being led by the cares of this world. They are not sins but they will not lead you into the will of God. Great people are those who rise above circumstances and do what is right in spite of the circumstances.
When you are led by the circumstances of this life, you will never amount to much for God. You must determine to be aware and conscious of God’s word to you. His word will lead you into the right path. Do not follow circumstances, follow what He is leading you to do. The words “circum” means circle and “stances” means standing around. So, circumstances mean things standing around. Such things should not guide you. Things standing around in your life, should not be a reason for what you do. A person who is just blown around by circumstances will never amount be anything important. Circumstances must not determine your fate. Decide that circumstances at home and circumstances in your life, will not determine what you will do.
You must recognize when God is leading you. “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name” (Revelation 3:8). A door is something that God opens for His children. How will you know when that door is being opened for you? You will know when it is the only thing working in the midst of all other things not working in your life. Receive the grace to recognize the supernatural doors of your life.
