The year 2017 has ended by God’s grace! Whatever harassed you in 2017 has ended with that last year. You have leapt out of 2017 victoriously. As 2017 has ended, your enemies that felt as though they had held on to you have let you go. Your long awaited new things and good things are now in your life in 2018.
As you have entered this new year, you must strive to stay connected to God. In order to do this, you must force to live according to the commandments of salvation given to us by God. “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak” (Hebrews 6:9). When you are saved, there are things that accompany your salvation and God expects you to live by this.
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:11-15). The verse tells us that, the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared. This grace and this salvation has taught us that the first commandment of salvation is denying ungodliness (Titus 2:12). You must learn to say no to all things that are ungodly. The fact that we are Christians is supposed to matter but unfortunately, people do not realize that there are things that accompany salvation. Once Christ is named upon you, there must be something Christ like about you. Christianity goes along with certain principles. It is not just floating along and doing as you please. In 2018, you have received the grace to deny ungodliness.
An additional commandment of salvation is denying worldly lusts (Titus 2:12). Now what is lust? Lusts are animal desires. These desires include sleep, eating, having sex, etc. You have to control your desires. Your desires cannot control you. Another commandment of salvation is to live soberly (Titus 2:12). To live soberly speaks of not being under the influence of something. We must all be under the influence of God and His word. When you are controlled by someone, it is said that you are bewitched (Galatians 3:1). There cannot be something that takes over your life and controls you to make judgments that are out of place. Money, status and education should not influence. Rather, as we have entered into a new year, strive to be controlled by the Holy Spirit and the word of God! Finally, become a person zealous of good works in this new year (Titus 2:14). In 2018, you will do more good works. Serving God and doing good works is your master key to being delivered from your enemy. To be free from Pharaoh is to serve God. Serving God is being free from what captures you and puts you in bondage. In 2018, you will be zealous of good works. In 2018, your life will be a righteous one. In this new year, you will stand into good things. I see 2018 truly being your year of good things! The prophecy you believe is what will practically happen to you!
