Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten
virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet
the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five
were foolish.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil
with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with
their lamps.
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and
slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold,
the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil;
for our lamps are gone out.
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not
enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell,
and buy for yourselves.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and
they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:
and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other
virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered
and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour
wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 25:1-13

1. Virgins were invited for the marriage feast. Virginity
stands for purity, holiness and sinlessness. Virgins are
pure and untouched, even in the secret parts of their
lives.

2. Virgins were invited for the marriage feast: Sin is
referred to as dirt or filth. Sin takes away the virgin
state.
Through sin we are no longer “virgins” and are no longer
qualified for the marriage feast.
The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of
men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek
God.
They are all gone aside, THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER
BECOME FILTHY: there is none that doeth good, no, not
one.
Psalm 14:2-3
Every one of them is gone back: THEY ARE
ALTOGETHER BECOME FILTHY; there is none that
doeth good, no, not one.
Psalms 53:3
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our
righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a
leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Isaiah 64:6
But THE WICKED ARE LIKE the troubled sea, when it
cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and DIRT.
Isaiah 57:20
How much more abominable and FILTHY IS MAN,
WHICH DRINKETH INIQUITY LIKE WATER?
Job 15:16

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and HE WHICH
IS FILTHY, LET HIM BE FILTHY STILL: and he that is
righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let
him be holy still.
Revelation 22:11

3. Virgins were invited for the marriage feast. We have
fallen and lost our state of virginity. But God wants
to take away your filthy garments.
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood
before the angel.
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before
him, saying, TAKE AWAY THE FILTHY GARMENTS
FROM HIM. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused
thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I WILL CLOTHE
THEE WITH CHANGE OF RAIMENT.
Zechariah 3:3-4

4. Only the Blood of Jesus can cleanse us from the filth
of our sins.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and THE BLOOD OF JESUS
CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN.
1 John 1:7

5. Only the Blood of Jesus can wash us from the filth of
our sins.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the
first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the
earth. Unto him that loved us, and WASHED US FROM
OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BLOOD,
Revelation 1:5

6. Through the Blood of Jesus your sins and filth will
be washed away and you will be qualified to go to
Heaven.
We will become virgins again and we will be welcomed to the
wedding through the Blood of Jesus.
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no
man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and
people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before
the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their
hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to
our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about
the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on
their faces, and worshipped God, saying, Amen: blessing,
and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour,
and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever.
Amen.
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are
these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came
they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said
to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation,
and have WASHED THEIR ROBES, and made them
white IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.
Revelations 7:9-14
