Loving God: The Most Important Thing To Do in 2012

Halle-lu-jah! Halle-lu-jah! Halle-lu-jah! Halle-lu-jah! Halle-lu-jah! Halle-lu-jah!

HALLE-LU-JAH !!!

I am blessed and excited to be writing to you again. This is the year we have all been waiting for and what a blessing it is to have started the year in church. I declare that it is going to be a ‘golden‘ year by the grace of God.

This year, aside all your New Year resolutions, I want you to decide that you are going to love the Lord with all three aspects of you: your heart, your mind and your soul.

Loving God is the most important thing for you to do in 2012.

When you love God with your heart, it means you love God with your innermost parts.  When you love God with your soul, it means loving Him with feelings. And God desires your feelings. He yearns for us to have feelings for Him as we have for many irrelevant things.

It is sad but many of us have not really demonstrated a true love for God and this is reflected by the fact that there is no real change in our lives. It is not just enough to say ‘I love the Lord’? Rise up and do something! Show it! It is not enough to say, “I’m a born again Christian” when there is no real change in your life? Love is evidenced by actions.

You cannot say you have repented if you do not change. To repent means to reverse, to make a turnaround. It is not enough to shout MERCY! FORGIVE!! Ultimately, God is looking at our actions, not at what we say.

This year, I’m advocating for true change in our lives. Enough of feeling bad and feeling sorry! Enough of explaining. Enough of the excuses. There must be a real turnaround.

This is the year that we are going to love the Lord with feelings and actions. This is the year we are going to love Him in a special way. This is the year we are going to love the Lord with everything we have.

Do you agree with me?

May the Lord help us all….And Happy New Year to you!
