Leadership International was founded by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. His intention is to establish Christ centered clubs in second cycle schools worldwide to give students in these schools an opportunity to find Christ and serve him in their youth.
 
These clubs are non-denominational. Having given his life to Christ as a student, Bishop Heward-Mills recognizes that this stage of life is the best time for people to find Christ.
 
LI is not only to give young students an opportunity to find Christ but also to learn to walk in Him. These clubs are therefore to teach students the basic knowledge of God and also to give them a foretaste of working for God. Leadership International ensures that the young people are fully occupied for God when they are away from home and to prevent backsliding whilst in school.
