'Remember The Poor', another one of the several compassion ministries started by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills is a ministry which has for its objectives the vision to promote the general welfare of the poor in the areas of health, education, rehabilitation and employment.
Since 1995, 'Remember The Poor' has run a monthly clinic for the Korle-Gonno community, attending to over three thousand patients annually providing free consultation, free medication, counselling for teenage mothers and on several occasions, paying apprenticeship fees to add value to the lives of these under-privileged young as well as providing a small pension for the elderly poor in the Korle-Gonno Community.

The Lighthouse Orphanage, known as the Lighthouse Christian Nursery Home, is an orphanage built and established by the Lighthouse Chapel International under the office of the First Lady of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Lady Reverend Adelaide Heward-Mills.
The Christian Home is one of the arms of the 'Remember the Poor' Ministries of the Lighthouse Chapel International and has as its inspiration the scripture given by Jesus in Matthew 25:35, concerning widows and orphans.
 
One of the main objectives of the Home is to practically demonstrate the love of God and acts of love, like caring for these under-privileged children.
