Lighthouse Christian Mission Primary & Junior High Sch.

The Primary School was started in September 2006 with15 children and now has one hundred and eighty four children with twenty four staff members.

  

Every month a church service is held in the school to teach about the word of God and how to behave during church services. As part of the events of Cultural Awareness Week the children visit the markets.

To honour the presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International on his birthday, selected pupils from each class embark on an evangelistic outreach sharing the word of God with anyone they would meet and handing out gospel tracts to others.

 

The Lighthouse Christian Nursery School was established in 1998 with two children and one attendant. By the Grace of God the number of pupils has risen to over one hundred and sixty!

The nursery school classes range from the Play Group to Kindergarten Two. The children are tutored with the Montessori System hence the environment is prepared to generate interest in what they learn.

 

They are brought up to uphold strongly Christian principles, social graces and etiquette. Art and craft, Choreography, video and computer programs, sensorial activities are some of the lessons taught in the school.

In the year 2002, The World Health Organization (WHO) nominated the School in their Multi-centre Growth Reference Study as one of the top ten schools in Ghana.
